Great little place for two people

Clean, perfect size for two. It’s the perfect place for my son and I to stay when visiting the National Forest. Gated is also a plus!

Great place for contemplation, kids or anything else!

Property is amazing. Feels like a getaway in the woods, but is minutes from everything. Pond is beautiful and it’s quiet as you can get at night. Place is great, minimal amenities as advertised, but has all anyone would need. Definitely a place to bring kids or for a guys getaway.

The perfect week

This place had everything to do without having to leave the property. Peaceful, relaxing and gated so felt like on a remote island. Everything went so smooth and the host is so organized and informative

A brief little get away

We had the most fun staying at the Casita! Roy and his staff were available witb jusg a phone call at a moments notice for Anything! I will definitely be back to rent again! Could not have been any better! Everything was clean, tidy and justt as we needed! If we needed anhthing more all we had to do was call! Ive never rented a place with such great service. Thank you to the Conroy Team!!

Fun get away

The property grounds were a highlight. We made good use of the pond and it was really neat to hear all the frogs at night. Pros: -Pond - the water is clear and there are lots of toys! -Other outdoor perks like cornhole, horseshoes, visiting tortoises, and lots of places to sit and hang out. -The casita is a tight space, but very doable and it had everything we needed for our stay. AC works good and blocks out outside noise. Cons: -Lots of mosquitoes

for couples and really good friends

My friend and I--and her small dog--had a very nice stay. Some surprises that I didn't notice when I booked the rental: no stove/oven in the kitchenette--microwave only + grill outside, and... the bathroom and bedroom were one room, no door. There was an an additional privy and shower outside, but if you need to heed the call of nature in the middle of night, you're going to be doing business in the room someone is sleeping in. Not for everyone. Lovely grounds, wi-fi worked fine, host communicated by text, but we didn't bother each other. This would make a fantastic solo writer retreat, as long as you plan the food right.

Great little tiny place on awesome property

My husband & I enjoyed our stay, along w/ our 2 labs! We got lucky we were the only renters for Christmas wkend (we stayed Sun - Wed). It is a tiny little place, but was just enough for us. No doors, only curtains dividing the "bathroom" & bedroom & kitchenette/living room areas. Both beds are futons, so be prepared if you have a bad back. We spent most of our time wandering around the property (+/- 5 acres), chillaxing on the patio with the TV, & watching the campfire each night. They had a whole pile of cutdown trees for firewood- bring your own fire starter logs & a couple bundles of firewood (esp if it has rained recently) & lighter fluid. The fridge/freezer were just enough for the supplies we brought, knowing everything would be closed for Christmas Eve & Day. 5 kcups provided + essential cooking utensils. The outside toilet was great- helped with "privacy" while taking care of business. It was too cold to try the shower outdoors, but the inside shower was fine - nice, hot water, even shampoo, conditioner, soap if you forget yours, just a little small (as expected). We finally got to see 1 of the tortoises the last morning; it was a bit cold for them to be loose to roam. The dogs loved the pond, even went down the tube slide once each, lol. We'll be back! Such a great propety to rent out, esp if you have a bigger group (friends/fam)- rent out all 3 spots and it'd be perfect. Fun swings all around, as well as gazebo tables everywhere. Thanks so much for having us!

Quiet and Charming

Our stay was fantastic! Perfect for a couples get away and the pond was a great place to cool off in the Texas heat! Property Manager was responsive and prompt! Would recommend to anyone wanting a cool get away from the normal hustle and bustle. Cheers!

Rustic feel with modern convenience

This small cabin was well designed, with a nice kitchen and two beds. The second bathroom and shower outside was really nice, and the pond was great place to relax.

Awesome little place

Close to Lake Conroe, but still far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. The owner is great guy and very helpful. Definitely would recommend and we would go back again.

it was super close to our friends' house who we were visiting. our friends were allowed to come hang out and enjoy all the amenities the property had to offer. we all had so much fun!! will definitely stay here next visit (fingers crossed its available)

We had a nice weekend stay while working on our own property just down the road. It was nice to have use of the fridge and kitchenette and will definitely be back sometime when we can spend time on the beautiful property and outdoor area!

Cozy cabin

My favorite area of the cabin is the large front deck with the couch, grill and TV. The property is peaceful and has a variety of activities. The owner and property manager are friendly and prompt with requests.

Relaxing WE

This tiny little cabin sits on a very nice property. It has all you need and the owner is always making sure you are having a nice stay. The noisy AC was our only grievance. We are used to a king bed and found the one in the cabin small. Overall we had a great time there.

Absolutely amazing!! Everything !!

I swear the pictures do it no justice ...this property is amazing huge and accommodating to the fun loving outdoors kinda person. . So many activities for adults and children . And the owner is just siply sweet and very accommodating its secluded enough to seem like your so far away yet everything is close and accommodating...once on the property you wouldn't even notice or feel like you close yo it all..... I will definitely be coming back over and over and over again ...

Great place!!!!

Roy was an incredible host!! His property manager, Matt, was incredibly helpful as well. Roy pulled out all the stops to make sure we had a great trip. He had kayaks, bikes, different things for us to use in the pond, etc. He has a really great spot and it is perfect for a weekend get away! The pictures don't do this place justice! He has a fun backyard area that you can relax in and also has a sand volleyball court. Will be coming back again.
