Loved it, was so comfy and nice. Directions were confusing. It's just a mile passed the "Sinclair" gas station. If you pass a giant propane tank you've gone to far.
We have never been treated so rudely. These hosts are horrible people. Would never recommend. Such a pretty place, what a shame Barbara Smith thinks she can be so disgusting to a family who spent over $1000 on two dilapidated cabins on a property you’re not even “allowed” to enjoy. Apparently they have no need for repeat customers or good word of mouth. Would never recommend.
Lovely little getaway. Sunrise over the mountains and trees is so super special. Clean, quaint
This is a great place to stay. No complaints. Only suggestion is bring bug spray. Not overwhelming bugs, but you know they're there after they bite you! ;-)
It was beautiful, relaxing, and quiet. It was nice having no cell service . I Loved watching the sun set on the water and the cool bridge. I knew there was a latter but fyi it is a very steep latter. It made me nervous going down it half asleep to go to the bathroom.
I really enjoyed my get away to Loon’s Nest. The cabin was just the right size for 1 or 2 people looking for a relaxing time. The pictures don’t do it enough justice! So cozy and quiet and in a gorgeous area way off the main road. The water around the cabin was marsh like but I rarely saw any mosquitos. I enjoyed watching the wildlife and listening to the sounds of nature. Glacier is just 2ish or less hours away but you can take a detour on your way over to Flathead Lake. So much to do! I highly recommend this cabin and would stay here again in an instant!
We enjoyed our stay and enjoyed the deep forest and sunsets on the pond. Once we got used to the ladder up to the loft, we nested comfortably. Like many great locations in Montana, cell service was spotty or nonexistent, but we did not retreat to this lovely cabin to be connected.
My boyfriend and I had such a relaxing weekend at this ideal, rustic cabin. Coffee on the cozy porch in the morning while seeing deer bounding through the woods was a highlight. A variety of birds in the morning and evening on the pond had a few songs here and there. There was plenty of privacy and waking up to the birds singing with the sunshine coming through the windows was a dream.
Perfectly rustic with all the quaint charm you are hoping for in your cabin getaway in the woods. The cabin is stocked with the necessary amenities for cooking a full meal, sleeping and being able to sit back, relax and enjoy the view. The owners are wonderful with communicating everything you need to know about your arrival. Highly recommend and will be back again!
A rare find for those seeking quiet, dark nights, access to public lands and cozy accommodates that are pet friendly with a reasonable price. The cabin is outfitted well and it was advertised accurately. I would love to stay here again.
Beautiful, with more amenities than I expected. Kitchen fully stocked, less food of course. The little oven worked perfectly , I was able to make a Cornish game hen and a roast. It was a lovely time and was able to recharge with peace and quiet. Exactly what I was looking for. This may be my annual retreat. Thank you for having such an amazing space available.
Everything about this property is amazing. I enjoyed a full cabin by meyself in a secluded spot of Montana. This is the true Montana expierence. I'd choose here over anywhere else!
This property was amazing in every way - from the location to the bed. We loved how remote the location was, and how there wasn’t cell service (or WiFi). In fact, that was something we sought out. The cabin itself was rustic - but in the most positive way possible. Perfect for two, the cabin had everything we needed and the bed was SO comfortable! The grounds of the property were immaculate in the context that it was a wilderness setting, but very easy to walk around - either to the bridge that spanned the lake, to other cabins. Barbara was attentive and anticipated our needs, but also left us to enjoy the solitude.
I would not hesitate to recommend this property and cabin, nor would I hesitate to recommend the other cabins for family and friends. We will definitely be back.
My fiancé and I absolutely loved our stay here. The cabin is cute and rustic, but has all the basics we needed for a great stay. Out a long road and minimal service which is just what we wanted. Surrounded by nature and On a perfect private lake. The owner came and said hello while we were there and told us about kayaks we could use which made the trip just that much better. We will absolutely be returning and recommending to family!
The pond is closer to a swamp, but it large and attracts geese, ducks, and lots of other birds, and wildlife, we saw a mountain lion wonder to within 30 yrs of the porch, and the pond has a serene presence as we looked from the cabin. A great place to relax, read a book, watch the wildlife, or walk in the woods. The cabin is perfect for two people, really nice and the cabin stayed cool during the day. The grill was a plus. We prefer the wild natural look surrounding the cabin area versus the golf course manicured look across the pond. We loved the place and we will be back.
The Loon's Nest was the perfect spot for a couples getaway. The cabin was absolutely delightful, super cozy, very comfortable, and it totally exceeded our expectations. The place was spotless when we arrived, the bedroom was very cozy and comfortable, the kitchen had all we needed, and in general the place was very nice and clean. And once you step outside the cabin the place is wonderful, surrounded by trees and with a beautiful view of a pond with wildlife. We saw deer and geese in our very first day! Barbara was always very communicative and available to help us if we needed anything. The place is a couple of hours from Glacier National Park, so if you don't mind driving a bit, this place is totally worth it! Also, our pets had a great time in the cabin! Barbara, thank you so much for sharing this wonderful place with us!
This property was perfect for me needs and made for a very comfortable stay. The owners provided detailed and easy to follow instructions on the check-in process and directions to the cabin. The cabin itself was charming, had and everything I needed for a pleasant stay and the bed could not have been more comfortable. The property itself is lovely with and the pond there made for nice morning stroll. It was also conveniently located to access to Holland Lake and other areas. I would definitely stay at this property again and if I ever needed lodging for a larger group I’d look into trying to rent out the entire compound.
