全てが大変素晴らしいホテル！建物や設備も豪華で美しいですが、一番は全てのスタッフです。皆さん紳士淑女で、高品質のサービス（心からのおもてなし）を提供するプロフェッショナルでした。庭師も館内清掃スタッフも、大変礼儀正しく優しい笑顔が忘れられません。そして、とても広い敷地内で共通して感じたのは、【優雅で特別な雰囲気】【礼儀正しい人々】【くつろげる空間】。ビジネスクラブラウンジは、１日の始まりにふさわしい【静かで落ち着く空間】でした。＜エントランス（セキュリティー＆ベル）＞笑顔でいつもフレンドリー、行動もスマート。効率よく移動したい時、ホテルタクシーのドライバーさん達は紳士的でとても頼れる存在。＜ホール＆コンシェルジュ＞ホールは天井が高く開放的で、インド伝統様式を模した大変優雅な空間に目を奪われると思います。そして特別なコンシェルジュ【ル・クレドールメンバー】であるMr.Gahoor（Haneef-san”ハニーフさん”）が大変優秀な方で、彼が全てを叶えてくれました。Haneef-san は、日本人の【戸惑いや言えない不満】にも気を配るプロフェッショナル、穏やかで慈しみに長けた素晴らしい人格者です。＜Front office＞このスタッフも仕事の質が高く、いつの間にか１つ上の満足が得られます。滞在が決まったら、事前にメールで宿泊目的・要望・問合せ・内容確認等をすることをお勧めします。到着日は深夜だった事もあり、すぐに部屋へ案内してくださり部屋でチェックインをしました。また、Front officeより記念日のお祝いにと、美しく美味しいケーキとメッセージカードを頂きました！＜Restaurant＞軽食からコース料理まで種類も価格も豊富なレストランが、6〜7箇所あります。鉄板焼きと中華料理以外は行きましたが、どこも美味しく居心地も良くスタッフもフレンドリーです。軽食なら外へ行くよりコーヒーショップもお勧め。ボリュームもあって完成度も高くお茶の種類も豊富（アフタヌーンティーは事前予約が必要）です。夜は生演奏があり、（有名な曲なら）リクエストにも気軽に応じてくれます。＜Room＞エグゼクティブスィートに宿泊しました。景観も良く、小さなキッチンもあり、大きすぎずちょうど良い清潔で落ち着いた空間でした。バルコニーは小さめ、天候もあって使う事はありませんでした。到着日、素晴らしいベッドメイクと記念日のメッセージカードを頂きました！ Thanks to everyone at Taj Samudra Hotel, we were able to have a memorable 27th wedding anniversary. 見事なスタッフ

見事な接客姿勢でした。プロ意識が高いスタッフばかりで嫌な思いをまったくしませんでした。次回もここです。 1月に爆弾テロがあったため、ホテルに入る前の（空港にあるあれと同じものをくぐり）セキュリティチェックは厳重です。ただしスタッフは丁寧です。ホテルの周辺に良い土産物屋を知っている！案内する！　と来やすく話しかけてくる人が多くいますのではっきりといらない！結構！と言えば去ります。ただし

Not satisfied.

Arrived at 5pm. Told to wait 45 minutes for my room to be ready. Ended up waiting 2 hours. No one apologized for it even though I confronted it. The water pressure in the shower room was weak. Their bottle water tasted funny. No evening turndown. I got two club lounge access rooms but their services varied for each room. One was worsen than the other. The club lounge was poor and was not worth paying extra. Alcohol was served for a few hours only right in the middle of the normal dinner time. What’s the point??? Tea was supposed to be served any other time but all the staff was in the kitchen talking, never showing up in the lounge. You would have to go to the kitchen for tea or even a glass of water. The breakfast was only for South Asians, not considered for any other race. Was I satisfied? Absolutely not.

Nice stay at Taj Colombo

Excellent short break with my wife . As a regular to Taj properties in India , there is a standard of quality of service and property which is maintained across properties how ever old that property may be . Loved their Japanese restaurant and Navarathna was serving excellent Indian food . Overall very satisfying . 👍

Taj Samudra had incredible hospitality and really elevated rooms. The fact they have reusable bottle program shows that they care for the environment and want to be sustainable. Also it’s right across the water, so you can do a quick walk by the sea any time. The buffet food was good, not exceptional especially the vegetarian options were mediocre at best. Although the stand alone restaurant Navratna had smashing food.

Great place to stay

Stay at the hotel was comfortable, clean, and carefree. The staff service was great, the food options were amazing. For someone looking to understand how far the oceanfront rooms were from the ocean, please know that there were other buildings and a road in front; the pictures on the hotel website are taken from a different angle.

Taj samudra review

usually taj hotels "wow" us. but probably due to srilanka's economic condition, taj decided not to keep the hotel immaculate. Plus, there were kids running around in the club lounge, screaming, every evening. I know that in other hotels as well as taj properties, kids have an age restrictions. Here, even maids for the kids were present as well.

The hotel looks opulent on the ground floor. The pool, gym and breakfast are top notch. The food in the Indian restaurant was bland and the room was a bit dirty on check-in, especially the bathroom floor. Rooms are a bit shabby but come with plenty of free water.

Elegant, great location

Elegant architecture, wonderful breakfast buffet, clean, and very good service. I also felt very safe, there were staff members everywhere checking in and making sure all my needs were met. The only downside is that to get to the pool / gym / steam room, you have to go through the gorgeous lobby that is usually filled with well dressed people there for some fancy event... so it's rather uncomfortable to walk through in a robe or cover-up... there should be some sort of keyed entrance straight from the rooms.

Comfortable and friendly

I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is comfortable and the rooms are good size. But the rooms need updating. The Navratna, Golden Dragon and Yumi restaurants serve good Indian, Chinese and Japanese food respectively. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Almost perfect.

Great location with beautiful unobstructed views of the Gallface Greens and the Indian Ocean. Staff were friendly, but not all were welcoming or attentive. Was not very impressed by the food either. Well-kept lawn and grounds. Beautiful lobby. Beautiful, clean and impressive room (luxury sea view room). Impressive bathroom, but hot water was not hot around 9-10 pm both in the shower and also in the tub. Loved the pool area, though could not test it. Can recommend to others.

Beautifully comfortable hotel. We had club access and were able to sit in one of the glass enclosed dining nooks and it was dreamy. Our room was comfortable and well equipped. Pool was great for laps. Note, they do not have a Sauna, we were told But that was ok as everything else perfect.
