Great for a convenient, not-too-touristy stay upon arriving in Colombo. The hotel is hidden and quiet and the staff is extremely hospitable. Rooftop views for the restaurant are the highlight.

Clean, comfy, spacious room! Clean bathroom with great shower pressure and temp. Not much storage space. Nice solid desk and chair; furniture. WiFi kept dropping--almost four times a day. However, I've stayed here before; and, it wasn't and issue before. No food allowed in rooms! Roof top restaurant. Rice-heavy menu with a few international options and separate cafe menu. Covered seating area is available. Hotel felt like home. Some of the best staff I've ever met! Warm and courteous. Well worth the price. Thanks!

Nice base for our first 2 nights in Sri Lanka. There was a bit of confusion about our booking when we checked in but quickly sorted out. The hotel is very clean and quite modern. A good location close to the cinnamon gardens area, the national museum and viharamedevi park.

Incredible place to stay whilst in Colombo!

Wow wow wow, what an amazing place to stay. We started our journey at the Den for our trip around Sri Lanka and the location, facilities and in particular Felix the hotel manager gave us the warmest most beautiful welcome we have ever received. Thanks again, could not recommend enough!

Staff was super helpful - set up an airport pickup for me last minute, included a delicious and enormous breakfast on the roof terrace, shared a list of places to visit in colombo, and helped me set up a tour outside of Kandy that I was having some difficulty solidifying. They really went out of their way to be helpful. The room was nice, big, bright, clean bathroom with good toiletries. Area was quiet and convenient, close to parks and cafes. Recommend!

The entire staff were great. They make you feel like family. The hotel is clean and well maintained. I stayed here off and on for my entire 5 month stay. Felix is there to help you no matter the issue. Highly recommend.

Den23 worth a visit.

Den 23 is a very nice, clean hotel with excellent, smiling service staff, nice roof top sitting area/restaurant with a good view of Colombo. Hotel manager (Felix) was waiting for me and greeted me on arrival. He also offered help with whatever I might need, without being too pushy, though. Downtown Colombo is within easy reach with tuk-tuk for a small fee. Very decent Cargill supermarket is right next door. Overall nice place, highly recomended. Jan, Toronto. Canada.

Brilliant hotel

We arrived at this hotel exhausted and that changed instantly the moment we opened the door and got a warm welcome from Felix the host. Felix has the energy that we all wish we had. The information he gives you while checking in is invaluable and he is more than happy to answer questions. We took him up on a SIM card which was far cheaper than using data when needed. He also gives you a card with top places to visit on it, really handy The rooms and the hotel are spotless, and if you need anything all you have to do is ask. There is a kitchen and a chef, but you are allowed to make your own stuff from the supermarket next door and then eat on the roof top which offers amazing views. I cannot recommend this place enough, you will leave feeling relaxed and energised for exploring.
