"We loved our stay at the Scourie Lodge B&B. We opted for dinner in the evening and it was definately worth it! Breakfast was fantastic too! Our room was cute and very clean and comfortable. Clashmore. A small hamlet overlooking Loch na Claise. The township was established in the 1870s by the Sutherland Estate as a model village when much emphasis was had into 'improving' barren land. This only lasted ten years or so when the crofters rebelled against the landlords and many cottages were burned.
