We stayed as a group of 4 as we had a wedding in town. The host was responsive and accommodated an earlier check-in. The property is close to downtown Newcastle and very well kept. Great layout, clean, comfy beds, full kitchen and easy parking. Highly recommend!

Convenient and close to town

The basement hideaway was perfect for a few days of racing. It’s very close to the track about 20 minutes. We enjoyed our time there and the host was great with communication planning on booking this place again for our next trip.

This is an absolutely lovely place to stay. It is VERY clean, the beds were very comfortable, as was the bedding. There is no carpeting which is also very hygienic. There are two lovely bathrooma with nice showers in each. We were in town for a wedding and the locatio was perfect, only 5 minutes to Bloomfiels Gardens. I would return. The host was also lovely and responsive.

Host not very responsive, poor amenities (especially in the kitchen) and although it looks clean on line it is not so much. Host expects the guests to keep it clean otherwise there would be extra charges. Actually had a rule not to leave any hair around but there was no vacuum available. We were also asked to put our garbage out the second night, which we did but no replacement bags could be found the next morning.

The host insisted on having us keep it as clean as when we arrived which did not make it relaxing. On our last morning we were reminded to sweep the floor and wipe all of the countertops but there was no dish cloth to do the wiping with. Also asked to remove any hair. We paid a cleaning fee for both nights so why should we have had to clean at all? The small mats were very dirty and stained. There were amenities missing such facial tissues, tea towels and extra bath towels. The TV remote did not work and when turned on manually, no cable or stations available. We went there to go to a funeral the second day and it did not help to deal with any of this.We would like a refund for at least the cleaning fee for one night and will not be staying again.
