Cinemark Fairfax Corner

Property was well located and our room was pretty large. The beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly and sent extra towels up quickly when we asked. The only complaint was the air conditioning. The hallways were beautifully cool and a guest from a neighboring room said their ac was fine. Unfortunately ours was between 77 and 79 degrees the whole visit. We tried everything to reset it but it didn’t work and sometimes showed ERR Worst thing was that we told the desk multiple times and days and they apologized and said someone would come to look at it but no one ever came. I’d suggest you bring a fan with you as you may need it.

The building itself is gorgeous. The cafe and the cafe staff as well as the doormen are very friendly and respectful. The check- in people: cold, detached, bordering on unprofessional. Did not feel Welcome. Even though I’ve been a repeat guest at Riggs l will not return. I like feeling welcomed and appreciated for being a supporter and an important part in the ecosystem. Hotel Riggs is not it. (Also, after the fact item: hotels.com let me know last night that as a VIP apparently I was supposed to be given the option of a free room upgrade, which never happened). Very disappointed. Will not go back.

Fabulous location to access the sights of DC. Walkable to the WA monument We highly recommend eating at The Old Ebbitt Grill a few blocks away. Just ask for a room not close to the Ioading dock. It was a bit noisy in the early hours. The staff offered us to move but since we only had 1 night to go it was fine. We were sightseeing anyway. We would stay again!
