We stayed over Christmas and he set up Christmas decorations and a tree which made it feel like a home away from home. "We had a wonderful 2 weeks at the villa: it was our base for a dream holiday. Rafaele was a perfect host; there was a slight problem with mosquitoes at the pool and he brought sprays and mosquito coils for us; when we arrived there were two bottles of wine waiting for us and later in the stay he brought us his own olive oil, not to mention the delicious tomatoes from his garden!The villa was clean and comfortable with plenty of room for 8 people. The pool was spotless and we used it every day. The location was absolutely perfect and we went for long walks from there and drove to numerous hill top towns in the area or did long walks between them - Montepulciano; Pienza; Montefallonico; Lucignano and many more.... We went to the Jousting festival at Arezzo, which was a great experience. Rafaele was very gracious with speaking to me in Italian, which I appreciated veery much. We would come back to the villa again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of staying for a while in Tuscany."
