"We had a great night staying in the Yurt at Gorgeous Stays! We found it very last minute and it ended up being a highlight of our NC road trip. The inside was decorated with fun details that enhanced the caravan experience! The communal bathrooms weren't too far and were very clean. It rained most of the time but we had no issues. Even with no AC, we slept great with the fan and creek sounds. A super fun experience and we might be back with our kids to stay in the double-decker bus sometime! The...

Long View Resort

10/10 Excellent

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay here for our babymoon! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The view from our room was incredible and made for such a peaceful, relaxing getaway. Our hosts were truly exceptional — so kind, welcoming, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. The fresh-made breakfast every morning was such a special touch and something we looked forward to each day. We also loved having access to all of the resort’s amenities and really appreciated how helpful our host was in making sure we had everything we needed and knew what was available to enjoy. We didn’t get a chance to use the spa this visit, but it was absolutely beautiful and is definitely something we’d love to experience next time. Long View is such a unique and special place, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. It was the perfect setting for our babymoon, and we would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable, relaxing getaway. We can’t wait to come back!"

Lakefront & Mountain cabin with firepit on Lake Hiwassee -“Bear Paw” Murphy, NC

10/10 Excellent

"Mary's cabin was a life-saver; she was very gracious and fast communicating back and forth with. We had an issue with a rental from another site and needed a place to stay within short notice. Mary arranged for us to get in sooner than original check in time because of this. The drive up to the cabin is very peaceful and the location of the cabin on Lake Hiawassee is amazing! Place was immaculately clean when we arrived. It is very spacious for many people to stay and be comfortable. One of the best features is the screened in back porch area. We enjoyed hanging out there eating breakfast, enjoying nature, playing card games, and putting together a puzzle on the large table. Cabin was well stocked with everything that we needed for our stay. Be aware that there is no cell signal up there but fast WiFi was provided at the cabin. It's a little bit of a drive from downtown Murphy so make sure to stock up on groceries before visiting. Be sure to drive a few miles up the road and visit Fields of the Wood. It's the largest display of the 10 Commandments. The Hiawassee Dam is nearby too so be sure to visit that location. We caught a wonderful sunset there while having a picnic. Mary gave some great suggestions to visit. One was Copperhill,TN. It's about a 40 min drive. It's a quaint mountain town with some cool restaurants and shops. Be sure to drive 20 more minutes down to Blue Ridge, GA. Me and my family really enjoyed our stay at the cabin and look forward to staying here again!"

Nantahala Village

8/10 Good

"The place was beautiful and in a beautiful location on the side of a mountain. There were nice views all around as well as multiple outdoor seating areas. Our room had a nice view of the mountains. The room was mostly clean. There was a sticky substance in the bathroom floor as well as a used coffee cup behind the toilet and a blue stain in the bathtub due to a leak that had obviously been going on for a while. We gathered that the cleaning person was not the most reliable employee based on comments that we overheard. The place was very quiet. Most of the amenities were not available due to staff shortages and being closed for the season. There was good internet service and a tv with a decent amount of channels. Sausage biscuits and coffee were provided for breakfast, but they were not out by the scheduled time both mornings that we were there. There is no staff on site after 5 pm so if a problem were to arise not sure how well it would be handled. Requests for extra towels, toilet paper etc. had to be placed by noon, so be sure to check your supplies early in the day😊. My biggest complaint was the booking had one price and we were charged something more. It seemed like the place was struggling, so we didn’t complain to the desk clerk. It was a nice place overall, and cheaper than other places that weren’t as nice nor had the views we had."

Best Western Of Murphy

8/10 Good

"Hey, it’s the Best Western and you get what you pay for…. The staff were friendly & helped with providing a fan & air freshener which our room needed on the first night. The room was clean-just seemed to have been closed up for a bit. Parking is free and we were able to park close to the stairs to make access to the 2nd floor a little easier. Free breakfast-well, again, you get what you pay for. It’s low quality coffee, edible eggs & sausage or cereals. Our room did not get service the 3 nights we stayed midweek. Fresh towels were made available upon request. I would stay there again if I needed a place to stay, but the Bee-dub might not be my 1st choice."

Gorgeous Stays

10/10 Excellent

"This is like a camp ground of tiny homes. All units are unique I believe so it's important to understand the details of which one you're in which VRBO does not make it easy to understand. We stayed in Heroes Hideout which was super hero themed which was cool. We really only needed a bed as we planned to ride it motorcycle around to see fall foliage. We left for breakfast and came back after dinner. The unit suited us well. It has a bunk bead, RV toilet in it's own room designed as a phone both, and a small couch. . There was a sink and basic appliances. The main office is open 24 hours and they had all kinds of stuff to do and snacks to purchase. You do have to go to the main building for wifi. The location is pretty good being about 10 minutes from downtown Bryson City. We had a great time in the area and our stay at Gorgeous Stays worked out really well for a long weekend."
