Villa near Carcassonne in the middle of Aude nature

"Couple avec 2 enfants.Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable dans cette villa de luxe, alliant élégance et confort. La décoration, soignée par Myriam et de très bon goût, crée une ambiance chaleureuse et raffinée. La propreté irréprochable et les équipements haut de gamme ont rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable.La piscine bien entretenue, était parfaite pour se détendre sous 40C soleil. L’accueil de Myriam a été des plus chaleureux, avec une attention particulière portée à nos besoins.Enfin, la villa est située dans un cadre calme et apaisant, idéal pour des vacances reposantes. Une adresse à recommander sans hésitation pour ceux qui rercherchent luxe, confort et sérénité.a réserver les yeux fermés !"
House with character, private swimming pool, near Carcassonne

"We stayed as a family of four in August 2026. We wanted a rural location and this matched our expectations perfectly. Great house with loads of room. 4 big double bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, plenty of outside space. The private pool area was excellent. Not only do you get a massive pool all to yourself, but there is a outside pool house area with seating and a mini fridge, which we used all the time. The host, Christian was really helpful. He popped in from time to time to make sure all was okay. He gave us some great advice about the local area. We visited Carcassonne a number of times (20 mins in car) and beach (max 1 hr in car), plus plenty of local things to do. Mountain walks, caves etc. The village where the house is located had a few restaurants, bakery, grocery and butchers, plus a very small Spa. Very nice village and 5 min walk away. Overall, great holiday and location. You will definitely need a car. Would love to go back one day."

"nous avons passé un excellent sejour . à commencer par l'accueil chaleureux de sophie. le gite est au centre de la cour. on n'a donc pas a vue sur les vignes. les chambres sont spacieuses. la salle de bain du bas est attenante à la cuisine, mais pas à la grande chambre. le gite est très bien équipé pour cuisiner et se reposer. l'espace piscine est vraiment extraordinaire. la aussi, tout est equipé pour se prélasser ou, patauger. Possibilité de se faire livrer du pain frais et des viennoiseries le matin. je recommande aussi de prendre le t emp s d'une dégustation de vin. est une belle occasion d'échange et d'ecouterr richard nous parler de son travail avec passion -"
Jolie Maisonnette Indépendante au Cœur D'un Charmant Village

"Villegainhenc is a very small Village with no restaurants. You need a car to go for a meal or to shops. Walking 4kms in 37 degrees along a busy road is not a option. It should be more clearly stated in the description that the use of the pool is limited to 16:30-19:30 on weekdays. Not at all on weekends.You need to speak some French in order to communicate with the host."

"Domaine de la Calm is a real joy, a perfect retreat from the noise and bustle of 21st century life. The owner, Erfan, gave us a very warm welcome and was on hand to give help and useful advice, as required. The house is spacious and well equipped with a lovely outdoor terrace, well shaded in the summer. It is adjacent to Erfan's farm with poultry and sheep- a dream for children ! There are wonderful views towards Carcassonne and the Pyrenees. Although in a quiet rural location, the nearby village of Cuxac Cabardes has an excellent bakery and a mini supermarket as well as a good restaurant. Carcassonne is within 25 minutes drive. I thoroughly recommend this wonderful retreat in the heart of the Montagne Noire."

"We had a wonderful stay at the house. The owner, Erfan, gave us a very warm welcome and was always available if we needed any help or advice. The house was comfortable, spacious and well equipped. It has stunning views over the mountains towards the Pyrenees. Although in a quiet location it is within easy reach of Cuxac Cabardes which has shops and a restaurant as well as being a 25 minute drive to Carcassonne. I thoroughly recommend this house if you are looking for a beautiful rural location in the Montagne Noire. "
