"A stay at the Hazelwick left us bemused and as if we’d spent a night in a parallel reality. I’m fine with quirky places but this was on another level. There were some good points- our room was more of a cottage with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen. The location was good for Gatwick airport and we received a friendly welcome. However, when we arrived, the owner didn’t answer the door and another guest had been waiting there for over half an hour despite it being 40 minutes after check...

"Staff were helpful and friendly but property is very tired. Paint is peeling in bathrooms and bedroom, and the room smelt slightly damp. There were no electric sockets near headboard, we needed an extension cable running across the room. Corridor was in severe need of vaccuming. The property needs redecorating and deep cleaning."

"Unable to check in and spent hours infront of property. Sent ID's to complete check in procedure only to be told no rooms available. Also address is not correct and you will be taken to an office and not an apartment. BE CAREFUL "
