"Lovely ‘ Mexican’ hotel.. perfect location, VERY clean, friendly staff; thanks Manuel for helping us change rooms.. more secluded for 8 nights. Outer rooms over the street can be noisy. Breakfast very good selection. The courtyard garden was especially welcome for rest / relax mid day. 5-8 min walk to the town square. ( several ways to walk there). Lots of parking if needed. "

"I would have had good things to say about this place if I had not been robbed whilst staying there. I understand that bubble tents cannot be locked but the hotel's assurance that it is entirely safe because it is in a secure compound is clearly false. (From a text message sent before arrival: "We are in a private area, with security provided by both the hotel and Valle de los Sanderos.") I am not accusing hotel staff but someone entered my bubble, opened a bag, found cash that I had hidden, and took 1000 pesos. I informed staff at reception but the hotel did nothing but offer a late check out, which I did not need or want. No apology or even a drink from the bar. So, until they take the obvious step of installing safes in the bubbles, I suggest you either avoid this place or keep ALL valuables with you at all times. Also, a check-in window of two hours (3-5pm) is absurd given the unusual nature of the hotel. Note also that the restaurant closes at 5pm so you will need to take a taxi or uber into town if you want to eat later - it's about a 15 minute drive into town. "
