Nice downtown beach with a playground for the kids. Pelicans and birds. Dolphins seen off the pier swimming playfully. Tall ship was in the area. Cedar Key is working diligently to bring back the downtown area that was devastated by the 2024 hurricane."

"We thought we might be able to come and cook some meals but the kitchen is not really set up for that. I.e. only a microwave available. Everything is close by and people were friendly. It was great to walk everywhere and definitely slow paced and relaxing. It was great for what we wanted. A get away from the hustle and bustle. "

"There was a dead roach on the floor when we walked in, as well as melted candy on the coffee table, the seating cushions smelled of urine, the air conditioner had mildew on it, and the furniture was different than in the pictures.Communication was great until we notified the host we were leaving. Have not heard anything back, of course. Extremely disappointed in this experience. We were so looking forward to experiencing Cedar Key. We left without staying the night. Everything in Cedar Key was booked. So we went to Gainesville, FL. Spent the night in a clean hotel room and went home the next day. "
