La pulizia lasciava a desiderare e siamo rimasti una notte senza aria condizionata. L'erogatore della doccia era rotto quindi bisognava tenerlo a mano e non avevamo una tenda adeguata in camera che coprisse la luce che dall'alba inondava la camera. Il personale è comunque molto gentile e cortese, abbia o avuto un problema coi documenti e sono stati molto comprensivi.

Not recommended B&B experience

We booked a room from Catania Etnea B&B but we were located in a B&B next door called B&B Massimo Gallery, but no one cared to explain this arrangement to us. At first sight the room seemed clean and comfy, but later at night the water stopped running and it did not recuperate during our visit. Also we could smell mold in the room. On top of it all, I got an e-mail couple of day after our visit saying that the B&B had announced that we never even arrived to the B&B which wasn't obviously true. So either they made an honest mistake or tried to prohibit us from leaving feedback since they knew we had complaints. However, the location of the B&B is great, right in the center, if you're looking to see the touristic areas.

Buon giorno, sono Giuseppe e vi racconto la mia esperienza. Sono stato nell’Hotel prenotato, all’arrivo dopo le solite presentazioni il gestore ci propone di cancellare la prenotazione con Expedia così non avrebbe dato nulla, noi abbiamo preso un po’ di tempo per pensarci, il giorno dopo ho telefonato che non ero intenzionato a cancellare la prenotazione e che avrei pagato l’importo dovuto. Il giorno 4/02 la mia compagna si e’ accorta che mancava il Phon per asciugare i capelli, il giorno dopo siamo andati in ufficio per chiedere come mai mancasse. Questa volta in ufficio non c’era la persona con cui abbiamo parlato il primo giorno, ma c’era una donna, chiedendo del Phon ci ha informati e preteso che il pagamento fosse avvenuto in quel momento e in contante, ho chiesto di fare il pagamento con carta di credito oppure con assegno, non ha accettato, in quel momento e venuto il fratello del responsabile e guardava con lo sguardo minaccioso,impaurito sono andato ha prelevare con molta fatica perché a Catania c’era la festa della patrona ed era impossibile camminare, e ho dovuto pagare in silenzio euro 472,00 in contanti. Questo per informarvi dell’accaduto, penso che ci doveva essere un pagamento scritto e legale ai fini legali. Scusatemi se ho scritto ma purtroppo e’ un’avventura che lascia il segno. Distinti saluti

Soluzione per chi vuole stare in centro

La posizione della struttura è l'aspetto migliore. Altro punto a favore per la nostra stanza è stata la lontanaza dal rumore della via Etnea. Tutto il resto è così così ma non è da disprezzare. La colazione si fa in un ottimo bar ma è limitata a cappuccino e cornetto o a qualcosa di analogo. Prezzo contenuto.

B&B in vecchio palazzo storico al centro a Catania

Abbiamo soggiornato al Catania Etnea B&B per due notti tra il 18/08 e il 20/08/2017. La posizione della struttura è ottima: pieno centro di Catania (via Etnea), fermata autobus di fronte, possibilità di raggiungere agevolmente a piedi i principali luoghi di interesse in città. L'aspetto del palazzo che ospita il B&B non colpisce in modo particolarmente favorevole il viaggiatore. Si tratta di un palazzo storico che ospita diverse strutture ricettive ma che avrebbe bisogno di un buon maquillage sia nelle scale che sull'affaccio strada. Le stanze sono gradevoli, il bagno spazioso. Un pizzico di organizzazione generale in più non guasterebbe. Consiglierei al gestore di conservare non a vista nell'ingresso i sacchi della biancheria sporca e di ricambio, di attrezzarsi ad accettare pagamenti con carta. La prima colazione si consuma in bar convenzionato situato a 20m dal B&B: la gestione del bar non fa onore alla cordialità con cui dovrebbe essere accolto un cliente e a quella dei cittadini catanesi in generale.

Posizione strategica ad un ottimo prezzo!!

In una posizione strategica per visitare il centro di Catania visto che si trova propio su via Etnea. La camera era al piano terra ma in generale in buone condizioni, pulita e dotata di condizionatore e TV. La colazione è con un bar convenzionato che si trova subito lì accanto. Consiste un caffè/cappuccino e un dolce, ma io consiglio di prendere una granita con la panna e brioche! Erano davvero ottime! Brioche appena sfornate! (anche se vi chiederanno a bar di pagare una piccola differenza). Per il prezzo e la posizione ottima lo consiglio sicuramente!
