In a word, Sergio, the host made the trip to Catania special. He was available to map out things to see and do, as well as calling a cab which is a challenge for this non Italian speaking tourist. I learned that the hotel is a family treasure that is being restored. Our penthouse rooms were spacious, updated, and sparkling clean. The shams on the pillows were starched to perfection. Definitely a gem.

Lovely apartment with character.

We really enjoyed staying here, we had a suite which gave us a small sitting room with a balcony to relax in, it made it feel very roomy. It’s a beautiful apartment, there is a dining room where breakfast is served. Breakfast was fresh bread, packaged pastries, yogurt, cereal and coffee, for Eur 5 it was an easy start to the day. There are a lot of stairs, it’s on the 3rd floor. It’s a very convenient area with restaurants and the main attractions nearby. Lovely hosts who helped us with directions. We walked from the train station but there is bus to the airport just around the corner so even easier.

Central and Welcoming

Some friends and I stayed here while visiting Catania. The innkeeper greeted us kindly and offered suggestions about sightseeing and dining. We took his advice and had a great supper at a nearby trattoria. The room was large and comfortable. The location was more central than we expected. There was much to see within walking distance. Breakfast was light, typical of Italy, but satisfying. Overall, we were very pleased with the experience, and would recommend the B&B without any hesitation.

I stayed there with my husband on september 15. It was a very nice stay. Hotel was a historical 17th century building. The owner Sergio was very kind and helpful. We really enjoyed his company. The location is very close to historical center and main tourist attractions. I highly recommend this hotel.

I was really warmly welcomed by the gentleman who offered valuable help in organizing an amazing trip to Etna, and recommending other local programmes. We had nice discussions, he enjoyed a lot that I speak a bit of Italian and many times pushed me to practicing the language, although he also speaks perfect English. The lobby is beautiful, old-fashioned; the room is modern and in perfect condition, exactly as shown in the pictures. Note: the room is on the 4th floor, no elevator :)

Excellente adresse en plein coeur de Catane

Superbe adresse !
