Absolutely loved our stay here. The property is beautiful and the staff are lovely. The best value stay we had on our Italy trip. Can hear the horses whilst lying by the pool and the house has a very friendly ginger cat too!

Our room was clean. However, what we did not like was the fact that there was no air-conditioning in our room it was just an air vent blowing air. We were unable to open the windows because then the bugs would get in since there was no netting. It was tolerable only because we went in mid to end September, but had to be gone earlier. I think we would have a problem with the heat. We loved the breakfast area and what was served for breakfast. And the restaurant was fantastic and the food was amazing. Parking was absolutely no problem. However, towels were not changed and we did not have enough amenities for the amount of time we were staying and we’re not provided any.

A bit snob at the reception service (not nice) but the kitchen staff are nice so 3stars! Place itself was very good, beautiful nature walk inside property and bellavista at the breakfast restaurant and pool💖 As a vegan not much options but they prepared oat milk for cappuccino so for me it's satisfied!

The property itself was absolutely beautiful! The views of the vineyards and the room were great. There was a pool to relax at which was very nice. The only downside was that the restaurant was closed all day until 7pm. There was also no wine available until dinner. I was expecting to be able to do wine tastings and tours and there was nothing like that available. It wouldn’t have been so bad but the place is very secluded, there was nothing else within walking distance and the taxi service was very expensive because they had to come from Sienna.

We loved our stay at Casafrassi. The service was genuinely friendly, and the breakfast offered a good, traditional Italian selection. The whole place is clean, full of character, and set in a beautiful old estate with many rooms and lovely details. The restaurant on the property is good, and the wines are excellent. The restaurant staff were young and very friendly. Thank you. The swimming pool was great as well, and we enjoyed it a lot. Casafrassi is not a luxury hotel and that’s exactly why we liked it. We always look for authenticity when traveling in Italy, and this place delivered just that. Thank you.

This was such a cute vineyard hotel to stay in! It was very quaint and had tons of charm! The only complaint would be the smell of cigarette smoke (I’m from the US and I’m not used to it). It could also be a bit noisy, but that’s to be expected with B&B type properties. All in all, it was a wonderful place!

Please have your dinner before you arrive as it may not be available at their inhouse restaurant. There are few options nearby and you will have to drive to Sienna which is 30 minutes away to find food.

Chianti nightmare

One of the worst experiences ever! We planned to stay for two nights, ending our 7 days vacation in Chianti , but ended up leaving the “hotel” after 10 minutes. The room reminded of your worst nightmare - the first thing we saw was a huge spider crawling on the bathroom floor and a lizard in the ceiling. The toilet looked like someone used it two weeks ago and decided not to flush - nor had the staff cleaned it - ever. The shower was in a bad condition with mold on the walls and ceiling and we would never have used it. The floor in the bedroom was swollen from the moisture in the room. The entire building and surroundings are completely run down. When we saw the room we immediately went down to the reception and pointed this out and asked for another room. The owner and what seemed to be her son said we could have another room - with an extra charge of 50 EUR per night - which we of course said no to. They refused to pay us anything back or cancel the booking and claimed they have a business to run and that we need to understand their side…..what a joke. Worst customer service we have ever seen! After many discussions they gave us 120 EUR back - from a total of 300 EUR. We took the money and ran as fast as we could. We recommend you STAY AWAY from this accommodation - it deserves maximum 1 star. The only good thing with this place was the very helpful young girl in the reception who really tried her best to help us.
