    Nestled towards the top of the Ridgewood Highlands, this house is centrally located to many activities and attractions in the North Lake Tahoe area. Legendary resorts like Northstar (13 miles away) and Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows (12.5 miles away) are just a few of the resorts located in the North Lake Tahoe area. On a summer day, you will be only a few minutes from beautiful, lakeside beaches. You may choose to grab a latte and breakfast at the charming Old Post Office Coffee Shop or a hearty meal at Gar Woods Grill and Pier. For a night out, explore the restaurants in Tahoe City (five miles) or travel seven miles north to Crystal Bay in Nevada for cocktails and games of chance.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The place was as described. It was clean just dirty around all the light switches and walls. To have some coffee or tea available would be a nice touch. A barbeque would be nice too.

game room was in useable. we were missing pool balls and the table was rickety. we requested more balls as soon as we got there and were told they would be there that night or next morning and host never showed or made effort to contact us. board games also were missing pieces and unplayable. power went out second day there and there were no candles or lights available and host again didn't respond or help. while searching house to find a light source found a rat nest in downstairs closet. was on the phone with vrbo for two hours and they tried to request a night free from the host but ultimately the host didn't respond to them either so bad stay. don't do it.

The house is older and well used, which does not come through in the photos. The bathrooms and kitchen are relatively new, but the house itself is a bit rough.- A bedroom lamp didn't work.- One outlet was open with wires sticking out. - Glass slider to the deck was stuck and nearly impossible to open and close. - The deck has nails sticking up.- Screen in bedroom was broken with holes which mosquitos entered through.- Mouse traps in the house.- One main overhead light wouldn't turn off, and had tape on it to attempt to keep it off. It stayed on all night.- To get to the "game room" you have to enter through a tiny hidden staircase that's quite dangerous. - Pool table was missing two balls, including the every important white ball.- Rough around the edges, scuffed walls, dirty carpet. It was fine to sleep in and head to the beach, we didn't want to spend a lot of time there. I definitely wouldn't go there with small children. Avari management company could do a better job with this cabin.
