A beautifully presented cottage perfect for a quiet getaway perfect for exploring the wonderful Cumbrian countryside.. Ground Floor:

Bedroom: Double (4ft 6in) Bed Ensuite: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack. . Grounds with sitting-out area. Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There are steps in the grounds.. The Annex is a delightful cottage in the grounds of the owners home, in a peaceful location, set on the fringes of the small village of Aglionby in the beautiful Cumbrian countryside. The Annex is the perfect base for exploring the area and is beautifully decorated. The open plan living/dining area is a welcoming, comfortable and cosy area with comfortable sofas and a modern, extremely well equipped kitchen ensuring you a wonderful stay.

Set quietly, The Annex is only minutes from the M6 thereby ideally placed to enjoy one of the most beautiful regions in the UK. From here you can not only enjoy the beauty of this area but also a quick drive will take you over the border into Scotland with its miles of dramatic coastline.

Whilst staying at The Annex, you must visit Hadrian’s Wall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can explore the history of the wall and its dramatic landscape at over 20 fascinating sites. Or why not make a day of exploring the beauty of the Lake District National Park with its stunning mountains and lakes? Not far away is the border city of Carlisle with its 12th century cathedral and 11th century castle, its a lovely city to explore and of course, great for a spot of retail therapy.

Lovely annex

We were informed on the way and had contact regarding our flight delays, which meant we got there early hours in the morning however joyce had ensured we knew how to enter and had filled up the fridge with some food instead of us having to stop on the way home. I had to attend my mums funeral and this way of caring made us feel very warm inside. The annex was lovely everything so clean,it made our weekend a lot less stressful. Can’t thank joyce enough. Will definitely be staying here again if available in the future. Thank u joyce!

A very well equipped cottage with everything we needed.

A very well equipped cottage with everything we needed. Furniture and bedding was high quality, very comfortable and the cottage was spotlessly clean. The excellent welcome pack was a lovely bonus and very thoughtful. We had a lovely stay and would happily go back. The spiral staircase might not suit everyone but we liked the clever use of space.
