Eclipse 2024
We had family traveling from all corners of the country for a fun Eclipse event. The house was great, the lake was beautiful (even though it was very low and not super accessible) and there was plenty of fun things to do around the area. Too bad our eclipse viewing was clouded over but we still had a great time.

Peaceful Retreat
This was a very nice place to stay. We enjoyed the views from the back patio. However, the lake level was very low at the time. We also enjoyed cooking on the grill. The kitchen was well stocked, beds were very comfortable, and home was very clean. We took a short drive into Gruene for the afternoon one day, and about an hour drive to San Antonio another day. Communication and response with the property team was very quick. We would recommend this home for adults or for families as there is plenty of room outdoors to run and play.

We had a great time! House was comfortable. Back deck was awesome with a fire pit that was nice on NYE..we could see fireworks all around the lake. Cleanliness was sub par (especially of kitchen) but I always plan to do a once over since I cook a lot. I’ve texted with property management and they were grateful for specific cleaning needs. I highly recommend this property.

Stated one room king. One room queen.one room queen on one site another stated bunk beds. When we got there one bedroom king, one bedroom not queen (full size), one bed a trundle with full bed. The view on back porch GORGEOUS! lake is down but view is peaceful. They have bird feed and when we put the feed in feeders, so many birds!!! So peaceful. If we come back to this area,we will book here again!

This home does not host a full size bed, rather queen size beds as our listing indicates. As well, there are various pictures that match the listing details, none of which advertise bunk beds. Perhaps this guest confused our listing with another during the booking process. This can certainly happen, as shoppers often comb through ad after ad trying to locate the perfect vacation rental! We're so glad our guest loved the extraordinary view, the peacefulness of the location and the remarkable nature that is second to none with this incredible vacation rental!

Weekend trip!
The perfect home for our weekend getaway on the water. The instructions and communication prior to arrival were complete and clear. Property was very clean, warm and welcoming. The view was gorgeous from the back porch. We enjoyed the furry creature visitors! Easy 30 minute drive to Gruene. An item was left at the property and was easily located & returned back to me via usps. We are already looking forward to a return stay!

For the most part everything was great. Had planned on having a great dinner with steaks on the grill but the grill didn't work. The master bath sink would not drain properly. Awesome view.

Canyon Lake Vacay
Enjoyed the great view of the lake and ease of accessing the water. Enjoyed many hours on the wonderful deck and the animals that we saw. Have never seen a porcupine up close until this vacation. It was an enjoyable relaxing experience.

Perfect house for a family vacation.
Property was exactly as pictured. Property manager was very easy to contact and very helpful. Great lake view from the deck with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The accommodations provided were very good . As well as the house being very clean . Various wildlife that visits the property each day. Short trip into town with a very well-stocked grocery store. As well as great places to eat nearby. Overall a great place to relax and spend time with family. We love it so much we’ve stayed two years in a row and will definitely go again.

Awesome lake view!
The house was everything advertised and more. The view of the lake was spectacular and the furnishings inside and out were very comfortable. We took in a couple of shows at Gruene Hall, visited New Braunfels, and played a round of golf at Rebecca Creek. Not to mention a family ping pong championship at the house. We would definitely book again!

Are you ready for magic?
For, if you choose to accept it, the magic is ready for you. Friendly tip: Drive SLOWWWWW through the neighborhood. Why? Deer gangs. Think of Outsiders, but with deer. Big deer, little deer. Baby deer. Everywhere. If you love animals, this is a beautiful greeting. If you don't, what wrong with you? Three bedrooms, two baths. There were five of us. We fit great. We're guessing the place is about 1300 square feet, beautifully planned. You immediately feel like you're not so much in a vacation home, but in your own home, had you made better choices in life. The deck -- big, outdoor grill and tv, big table. Find the birdseed! Cardinals, hummingbirds, sparrows. The local squirrel. Two cats showed up at dusk. "Hi, we're the cats." Basketball, ping pong table, karaoke machine (one can be too drunk for karaoke -- rare but true) The view of the lake is beautiful. The lake itself, beautiful. The day we went out on the boat it was emerald in color. It's about a two hundred yard walk down to the water and was the perfect temperature. Canyon Lake can be windy -- we pretended we were in an ocean. Definitely check out Wildflour restaurant. Definitely go tubing -- river is very cold because it comes out of the deepest part of Canyon Lake. Definitely rent a boat. The host was responsive and kind. The deer had attitude. The cats were in it for the food. All in all, one of the most magical trips we had. We would say we'll back, but we never actually left. They just haven't found us yet.

We really enjoyed this house! It had an amazing view, fun stuff to do such as ping pong, cornhole, an amazing deck and great stairway down the cliff! It was a bit if a hike down to the water so you want to make sure you take what you need when your ready to enjoy the beautiful clear lake!! We rented a jet ski and the house is right next to a boat ramp! We also fed the deer, saw fox, and some sweet kittens! It was a great lake house!

Spectacular View
This rental provides a Beautiful View of Canyon Lake! The staircase from the deck to the property below was a bonus we didn't expect. We were able to walk to the lake from the house. The location of the property was close to everything we wanted to do. The house had nice bedrooms & higher end appliances to use. All the TVs worked with no problem. The house had everything we needed for our stay. We just needed our groceries & personal items. The grill came with propane, which was great. But only one side of the gas grill worked, so we improvised & used charcoal on the other side. For the most part, the house was clean--except for the floors & shower floor. We immediately noticed the floors felt grimy, so my hubby & I wore socks. The floor was so dirty, our white socks were almost black with dirt from walking around the house. You couldn't tell by sight because the main areas were swept. Our family members opted to keep their flip flops on. But we didn't allow our grandchildren to play board games on the floor when the adults sat at the table. I also found mold around the floor of the shower. I took a tissue to see if it was stained into the caulking & the mold came right off. The cleaning crew could have done a much better job of cleaning. I paid a premium to rent the house on Memorial Day weekend. They should mop the floors before renting it out. I would rent it again with assurance the cleaning crew disinfected the shower & floors, but not at premium pricing.

Thank you so much for being our guest. We were glad to return a portion of the cleaning fee and to quickly send housekeeping to attend to the floors, however signs of mildew were never observed. We're always pleased when a guest indicates they'll return with another set of grandchildren, because they were so pleased with our efforts and our fast response to their concerns. Regrettably, we could't help but realize that this review is identical to the initial contact by the guest, and wasn't updated to reflect our effort invested into making this guest truly happy. As well, the grill is a charcoal/gas combo, which is why only one side works with propane and the other with charcoal. The grill is fully functional and ready for guests to barbecue to their liking.

Perfect for our family
I really liked this house and location. It was close to the boat ramp #7 (it was closed for boats at the moment) but still made for a nice time to walk down and let my kids explore. There was also another boat ramp not too far away that was open for boats so we got the chance to get on the water as well. The house was spacious and great for my family of 4. My two boys loved the basketball hoop , ping pong table and all the board games. I really loved the kitchen that had everything we needed to have our dinners, too. We also loved the amazing deck with the two side yards. I really loved the views and outdoor space. Perfect for lake lovers or families with little boys needing to spend more energy out. I also liked the big window in the room by the deck, waking when the sunrise was just what we wanted. We are really thankful we found this house and we hope to be back again!

Lovely Home and Beautiful Views!
From the moment we arrived to the property we were impressed! It was super clean, looked exactly as pictured online, the kitchen was very well stocked, and the view was gorgeous. We only stayed 2 nights, but wished we would have booked a longer trip! There was a TON of space outside for the kids (3 and 4 year old boys) to run around, ride their bikes, and be crazy, while the adults could sit on the deck and enjoy the view and watch the kids. We also have a 15 month old walker and the house and deck were very easy for him to navigate without tripping, and there were very few safety hazards (we really appreciated the gates on the deck). While we spent most of our time outside, it was nice that there was a smart tv in every room for when we did need some quiet time. We loved all of the wildlife we saw while outside, from the birds to the deer and other critters the kids spotted on the rocks below. We had the chance to feed some of the deer (apples) one night and the kids thought that was the best. They also loved the little kitty living under the deck! We will DEFINITELY come back!!!

We were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The house was comfortable and had activities for our family to enjoy. We played basketball, corn hole, and board games. The property was nice and there was enough space for our group. We were disappointed with the bed in the "kid" room with the queen on bottom and twin on top - very squeaky bed that made noise with any movement. Additionally, those beds were not made when we arrived, so that was disappointing. The bed in the second room was a full and it would be much better if it was at least a queen. The sheets in those rooms were a little rough, but the room with the King bed was great. Bathroom by the king was good - the bathroom by the other two bedrooms was difficult to shower in as water would get on the wall and the floor. The view from the deck is amazing. It's unfortunate you can't bring dogs - they have a really great space for them. The garbage cans were supposed to be outside the kitchen door but were out the front door outside the gate on the driveway to the side. It was just a little inconvenient. We enjoyed the swim area at the front of the property by the water, but on day two realized that the place we had set up actually was owned by someone else so we couldn't use it the next day. It would be nice if there was a stairway/walkway to the water from the property versus having to go to the ramp to swim.

A perfect, social-distance friendly retreat for the week! Beautiful, unobstructed views overlooking lake. Short and easy walk (or drive) to boat ramp to access shoreline for swimming. Beach is rocky so bring water shoes, but we did find flat grassy area to set shade tent up along. House was as advertised- clean, well-stocked kitchen and bath, and lovely deck and yard to be outside! I read all the reviews when making a vrbo decision, and would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone. We will be back!

Very nice home on a large private lot overlooking Canyon Lake
Very nice comfortable property. Very private setting. Enjoyed the covered patio overlooking the lake and the covered areas on both sides of the house - one with a ping pong table and the side with a basketball court. Centrally located and convenience to an abundance of Hill Country attractions.
