"stayed here for a short break in Girona and left feeling quite disappointed. • Staff: The canteen and bar staff were consistently unfriendly. Each time I went to order something they looked irritated, as if serving was a bother. A smile and some basic courtesy would have made a big difference. • Room: The room itself was extremely basic. The sockets didn’t work properly, which was frustrating when I needed to charge my phone. The view was of the car park, not exactly the Spanish escape I had hoped for. • Overall feel: It all felt a bit neglected and impersonal. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but in this case I felt let down. Girona is a beautiful city, but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless improvements are made. "

"Elke Spa hotel is lovely and the rooms are spacious. The room was cleaned each day with fresh towels etc. The breakfast was average. The pool area is very nice. We didn’t use the indoor spa."
