「This was the first stop for us on a 3 week California road trip and from previous reviews we were anticipating a warm welcome with a wine and snacks reception then a hearty breakfast next morning. Sadly we were a bit disappointed. We were welcomed by the owner and had a glass of wine but then never saw her again. 「This is one of the best places that I have ever stayed; the rooms are clean with tons of character. I love the style and the history of the place. There is a yard with a large outdoor kitchen and other fun games and stuff. Great for the kiddos! I'd like to find a reason to go back to the area just so that I can stay at this place again! And the American River is just right down the road (if you don't mind driving a gravel road). Love it and would definitely recommend! 」

「This location is very tucked away deep into a hilly little neighborhood. The driveway is steep for nervous drivers but for us it was perfect. The house was clean and well-kept. The bathroom was large for the space. We attended a wedding very close to the location so it was convenient.」
