ケンブリッジの学寮の雰囲気を味わえます。立地も最高。デスク横の引き出しに前の宿泊客の食べ残しのお菓子がたくさん入っていたのと、トイレのゴミ箱が常にいっぱいで(使ってないのに)、そこだけ気になりましたが、その他はすばらしいです。楽しく過ごしました。おすすめ。Good location. The building and garden are beautiful. You can eat full traditional English breakfast. People are very helpful and friendly. But leftovers in a desk drawer and I threw them away on first day. Sanitary bin was always full though I never used. Overall I could enjoy a week in Cambridge and Christ’s college is a very nice place to stay.

寄宿舎体験

ビジネス（学会参加）での利用。トイレ、シャワー付きの部屋を選択。泊まった建物は比較的新しいが、それ以外の建物は歴史・伝統を感じさせる。庭がきれいで、とても雰囲気が良い。ホテルのようなサービスと設備ではない。しかし、それが逆に寄宿舎生活を感じさせる。歴史を感じさせる部屋での朝食も、特別なものではないが、美味しい。大学関連ネットワークのeduroamが使えます。シャワーを浴びると、トイレと洗面所の床までビショ濡れになるが、それも楽しい。ホテルのようなサービスと設備を望む方にはお薦めしません。私はとても満足しました。

学生寮のよう

テレビなく、冷房もなく、ただ扇風機が置いてあるだけ。寮のようにシンプル。朝食はよかった。大学内なので静かで、ゆったり過ごすにはとてもよかった。エレベーターはないため、長い階段を重たい荷物持って歩かないといけない。雨が降ったら大変かも。

伝統あるカレッジ内の宿泊施設

伝統あるカレッジの雰囲気を味わうのに最適のロケーション。宿泊施設は必要最小限ですが、清潔で気持ちがいいです。ケンブリッジ駅からのアクセスは、荷物がある人は下手に歩こうという気にならない方がよろしい。バス利用がお薦め。1.6ポンド

中心部にあり、各カレッジや観光スポットにも近いので非常に便利。朝食を取りに別棟に行く際など美しい中庭を散歩する楽しみもある。

エレベーターがないこと以外は、大変満足しています。立地がすばらしく、朝食もおいしかったです。重たいスーツケースをエレベーターなしで３階まで運ぶのは大変でした。

ケンブリッジ大学を構成するカレッジの中にある宿泊施設

クライスツ・カレッジはケンブリッジ大学を構成するユニバーシティやカレッジのうちの一つで、宿泊施設はそのカレッジ構内の一部にあります。カレッジの正門（と言っても小さな木の門なのですが）をくぐるとすぐにカレッジの受付のような所があり、そこで部屋のキーと構内地図を受け取り、構内全体の説明などをしてもらいました。正門から宿泊施設までは、大学構内を３～４分ほど歩きます。宿泊施設は大学の寮の空いている部屋ではないかと思うのですが、とても広くて清潔で快適でした。ただエレベーターがないので、荷物を部屋まで運び上げるのがたいへんでした。ランドリー設備は少し離れた建物の地下にあり、場所がわかりにくかったですが、コイン式の洗濯機と乾燥機が数台あり、問題ありませんでした。朝食は無料ですが、ビュッフェ形式で好きなものを自由に食べられてとても良かったです。大学の構内は緑が多く自由に散歩でき、歴史的な建物も見ることができ、得をした気分になりました。構内の一角にはダーウィンの胸像があり、かつてダーウィンがこのカレッジで学んでいたことなどが書かれていました。ロケーションはケンブリッジの中心地で申し分ありません。普通のホテルではないので、英語があまり得意ではない方にはおすすめしませんが、学問の町ケンブリッジならではの最高の宿泊施設です。

歴史のある大学の敷地内に宿泊する滅多にない機会、楽しませていただきました。ホテルの部屋そのものは学生寮の部屋のような簡素なものでしたが、イギリスならではの庭園や建物などの雰囲気をエンジョイできます。アクセスが良好なのも◎です。

学生に戻った気分

部屋には勉強机とベットというシンプルな設備で、ひとりで泊まるにはかなり広かったです。トイレが部屋にないのは不便でした。一番良かったのは朝食を取るホールでした。サイズは小さいですが、ハリーポッターの大広間のような雰囲気でした。ほかの宿泊者はアジア系かお年寄りが多いようです。

one of the Cambridge colleges

This is one of the colleges constitutes University of Cambridge; so it is not a hotel, but a student accommodation. This means that the facility is basic as there is no TV in your room. Instead, a room has an efficient desk (because this is for a student), which busines travellers would like. Breakfast was more than expected; it is not simply English breakfast, but more specifically East Anglian breakfast, using local products.I recommend this B&B if you would like to stay in a historic Cambridge college.

優れた立地

ケンブリッジの大学群の入り口に位置しており、昼夜の町の散策に最適な立地です。きれいなブリティッシュガーデンのお庭を自室から楽しむことが出来、ベッドもふかふかでバスアメニティもそろっていました。寮ということで、テレビや冷蔵庫はないと聞いていたので、念のためタオルを持参しましたが、大中小の3種類の清潔でふわふわのタオルが用意されており感激しました。　洗面・風呂場は雑多な構造でしたが、寮の共同バスと思えばこんなものかな、というくらいです。夕方の早い時間にチェックインし、一度、まだ客の少ない時間に、バスタブに湯をはってくつろぎ、そのあと夜の散策に出かけました。朝食もフルブレックファストで非常に快適でした。

Christ's College is an old institution with lovely grounds in the centre of Cambridge and it is easy to walk to attractions.The accommodation is in a modern block at the back of the grounds and was built by the architect for the National Theatre .So I was faced with a huge flight of concrete steps and no lift!Luckily I had help with my case from a gardener on my arrival and a cleaner as I left and in between I got quite fit! But I think you should warn prospective guests with limited mobility as there are rooms at the ground floor of the block for which you do not need to use the steps. Breakfast was included and was very good with options of cold meats, juice,fruit,cereal,cooked breakfast, toast, bread and jam as well as tea or coffee.The room was modern with ensuite facilities ( mini wetroom). NO TV but once I managed the complicated instructions I could use my tablet on college wifi.Excellent value for money!

It is really interesting to stay “in college” for those of us who have never had the experience. Don’t expect luxuries. But the room was large, clean and comfortable; the breakfast “in hall” was fine. The location is perfect for seeing all the Cambridge sights. Something a little different than a run of the mill hotel room.

People could not do enough for me. Porters, cleaners, gardener. Would be the only place for me in cambridge to stay. They have improved their facilities, could not be better. Presentation a key.

Christ’s College Cambridge Stay!

As it was in the student accommodation it is fairly basic but suited my needs perfectly. You can feel the history as you walk through the courtyards, fantastic location. Breakfast was fine as well. Beautiful city to walk around in.

Excellent low cost stay

Easy walk from Cambridge station. Nice, cheerful greeting from the guys at reception. Explained exactly how to get to our respective rooms. Room was clean, clean towels and a basin with complimentary soap etc. Being a single room I expected smaller but was easily big enough for me. Shared bathroom facilities were clean although very small. Probably the smallest shower I have had to try and squeeze into but being clean was the most important thing to me.

Simple student room with basic necessities. Shared bathroom didn't seem to be attended daily as some traces of rubbish left by others are observed for more than a day, along with loo roll not topped up at some point for a day. Would have appreciated availability of fan during the week of heatwave. Overall this place is good for it's price, very convenient location, and surrounded by beautiful old buildings.

It’s been a huge privilege to have been allowed to stay in this wonderful place. Staying in a college makes the whole experience of Cambridge so much better. I’ve stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the college, breakfast and all the other colleges I’ve visited. Highly recommended!

Good price & convenient for solo travelller

Check in was straightforward and no issues. Easy to access most places by foot in Cambridge. The environment is very quaint but when it gets dark, the room in Staircase 4 was disturbed by Thursday night out groups till late, I suppose it’s university students area.

Good value but basic

Overall not bad, one of our rooms had a big stain on the carpet which didn't look very inviting, but the rest was ok. Decent enough rooms and in a great location. One big drawback was no TV in the room. But for the price, compared to what else was in the area it was definitely value for money

Thank you for your feedback. I will ask our housekeeping manager to check the carpets for stains and get them cleaned where we can.Unfortunately as these are student rooms during most of the year we are unable to put TVs in the rooms for guests.

Check in time of not a minute earlier than 2pm was hugely inconvenient...i arrived at 11am and had to hang around for 3 hours. Check out is 10am...i think the 4 hour difference is unreasonable.

It slightly depends on what room you get - old or new building, bathroom attached or not - but in general, this is a great place to stay, wonderful campus, charming surroundings and Buttery, location excellent, price very reasonable, stayed here more than once and always felt it was the right choice.
