I booked this property for a 3‑night stay. At first glance, the apartment appears modern, spacious, and well‑designed. Unfortunately, the stay was severely impacted by major cleanliness and hygiene issues, which made the accommodation unsuitable and unsafe.
Bedroom:
The mattress and inner duvet had blood stains, yellow patches, and strands of hair. The duvet covers and pillowcases had a damp, unwashed smell. We had to wash and dry all bedding ourselves just to be able to sleep. The bed is clearly not fit for use — we spent the night scratching and woke up with skin reactions. I strongly suspect pets have been sleeping on this bed. This completely ruined my birthday night.
Bathroom:
The toilet had not been cleaned at all. There were multiple types of hair on the floor, and the entire bathroom felt damp and unhygienic. We could not walk barefoot anywhere in the apartment. Basic cleanliness standards were not met.
Lounge/Dining Area:
The couch was filthy, covered in hairs, stains, and marks. Sitting on it made our skin crawl as if something was moving on us. This made the living area unusable.
If there was a CQC‑style rating for holiday rentals, this property would be removed from booking platforms immediately. The conditions pose a serious health and safety risk, especially the bed. I would be extremely disappointed if no action is taken. I would not want any other couple or traveller to experience what we did.
