Myself and 11 other women all stayed here for a yoga retreat that I was leading. Marcelo was amazing, he took care of setting up our chefs, our excursions and anything else we needed. This house is so beautiful, with 12 women we never felt like we were on top of each other, there is plenty of space for a large group. The guesthouse was great, the beds were comfortable and the outside patio was amazing. Highly recommend staying at this property :)

The house was amazing MINUS Cabinets at the sink wouldn't close and it was very nerve racking running into it all the time. BUGS, BUGS & More BUGS. This might be part of the location but the bunk house had ANTS out of control. I would literally kill 50 a day. They would be all over your stuff or the bed and always climbing on the walls. The bugs were not as bad in the main house but there were still some which I would think was normal for the location but I do think the ANTS were out of control in the bunk house. The driveways are not in the best shape and you better be ready to off road to get to the house. As long as you are ready for that you are good. PROS: The view is amazing!! The house has some great designs and love the architecture of the house. Wil-Mart was super handy. The cleaning lady that came every day did great and it was nice coming back to a clean place everyday. Overall the house was perfect minus all the ANTS! One of the adventures we went on they wouldn't allow the driver to come to the house on Sunday so we had to walk to the main gate to meet him for pick up. Didn't really understand that but we did it. Marcelo was helpful but wasn't the friendliest and over the top compared to the last house we were in the week before.

This home was really spectacular! I was sad to leave. This home was perfectly situated to all great beaches. Only 15 quick minutes to Tamarindo and Flamingo Beaches. We had many adventures in the house. Heard howler monkeys in the backyard. The atrium was crazy and kids always had an adventure getting to their rooms. Many grasshoppers, cool beetles and every night we had a new friend in there. Don’t get me wrong I’m scared of bugs but it’s part of the Costa Rica adventure. Pool was amazing! Marcelo the property manager was also there for any questions or tours. Highly recommend to stay here. It’s gorgeous.

We had 4 adults and 7 kids 8 years old and younger. The pool was perfect for the kids. Beautiful, very clean modern home. We loved exploring the area! We loved Taco Star tacos down the road and the local brewery. One day we drove to hike to Rio Celeste waterfall. Thank you for the awesome stay!

Casa Reina is a lovely property with excellent amenities. We especially enjoyed the pool and grill area which had fantastic views of Playa Grande and sunsets. The kitchen was fully furnished with glasses, dishes, pots, and pans to accommodate our extended family of 14 including an 88 and 1 year old. We loved the using the tables for meals both inside and outside. The beds were all comfortable and the linens and towels were of excellent quality. Keith was very friendly and available to answer and assist with any questions about the property and area.

La casa es muy bonita y confortable con espacios sociales muy agradables. La vista es muy bonita y la localización cerca de varias playas. Mi única recomendación es que revisen bien la casa entre un huésped y otro para garantizar que todo funcione. Tuvimos problemas con los llavines de los baños y cómo éramos un grupo grande se nos dificultó un poco y no pudieron arreglarlo en el transcurso de nuestra estancia.

We had 2 families at Casa Reina over Xmas and New Years, 12 total people, 8 teenagers. The house is awesome, the layout is great for large parties and the flow between in and out doors was fantastic. Great pool and BBQ. The guest house was perfect for the kids. Playa Grande is a great little town and the beach is simply amazing. We had breakfast prepared every morning and dinner 3 nights by Katya Campos - Superb. One other night we had Sushi by Fernando - Out of this world! We did a couple day trips. Canon Rincon was fun - do the Kayaks. Tamarindo was crazy - spent a few hours there and that was plenty. Overall great experience and will look forward to our return.

Our stay at Casa Reina was a complete paradise. The home was gorgeous and spacious enough for our entire group (9 adults!) to spread out and get lots of rest and relaxation. From swimming laps in the pool to napping in the "hammock garden," each of us was able to fill our days just how we wanted. I especially loved coming downstairs each morning to everyone lounging around the large indoor and outdoor living spaces, just drinking coffee, reading books and enjoying themselves. At mealtimes, we would gather together at one of the large dining areas to play games and enjoy an imperial light. As I said, paradise! If, like our group, you plan on cooking a lot, I would recommend stopping in Liberia to load up on supplies. There is a very convenient little grocery store, Wilmart, near the home but it might not have everything you need/want. We also arranged to have a cleaner every day which kept dishes and clutter to a minimum. If cooking isn't your thing there are several great restaurants in the area, our favorites were Rip Jack Inn (also great for a sunset cocktail to take to the beach) and El Huerto. One night we had a sushi chef come up to the house which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! If you are looking for a little more activity the sunset sail was a highlight of our trip! Serendipity charters did a great job and seeing Costa Rica from the water was unforgettable. Surf lessons and an estuary tour are also a great way to spend a few hours. Having been to Costa Rica several times before and staying at hotels, we loved the privacy and serenity of having our own house. Keith and his team provided us 5-star service and the luxurious home felt like a boutique hotel we had all to ourselves. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with family or friends.
