Really enjoyed our stay here. Room was spacious, breakfast was really good with plenty of choices. Good bar and choice of food in the evening.
Location was really handy for all transport.
Location was good. Walking distance to many attractions. Make sure to check out Time out market 3 min walk away from the hotel. Grab a free drink voucher from the brochure stand at the reception! Excellent value for money
Staff were very helpful and Professional. Great hotel in the heart of Budapest, very close to Metro station. Lots of cafes and restaurants close by.
Great location!
Breakfast was great, "Bogy" at the restaurant was friendly and wonderful.
I'm more disappointed in Expedia than Movenpick, I thought my rez included Breakfast. I paid Expedia $121/night without Breakfast when I could have gotten the room + Breakfast for $112
Excellent hotel, at a convenient location near the Metro M2 station which is only two stops away from most of the attractions. Staff were amazing and the room was great
The Movenpick is well-located in the magnificent, beautiful and brilliant city of Budapest.
I’d firstly like to say a huge thank you to the staff for a wonderful stay.
The tram and metro station are very closeby (pro tip: be VERY CAREFUL with your tickets), but if you want to walk to the many attractions and sites in Budapest - I walked 65km in 2.5 days - the strolls through the city are lovely, especially if you have great weather like I did.
Budapest’s architecture is simply astonishing.
As for the hotel, it has a pretty lobby area which is very welcoming and is modern and well-decorated.
- The staff: All staff were superb; helpful, polite and friendly. Delightful.
- Housekeeping: Terrific - every day.
- The room: Spacious and quiet. The bathroom is amazing. The main room is very nice, and the bed is comfortable. The rooms may need refreshing soon, but they’re clean and well-appointed.
- Breakfast: Lots of fresh options for a vegan like me. The grilled veggies are delicious!
- Gym: Not brilliant. Just dumbbells up to 10kg, a bench, a spin bike that needs servicing and a treadmill. There’s a small stretch area. As a PT and spin class instructor I’m fussy and I know it’s a small space; but I think a few more free weights would really help. However, with some creativity I had some great workouts so this isn’t a criticism.
Overall, the Movenpick fully deserves its four stars and is well worth recommending if you visit this stunning city. Excellent.
Room was spacious but carpets were dirty. Staff were excellent otherwise and breakfast had a large variety of choices. Quiet hotel and very close to public transport, shops and restaurants.
