Truly one-of-a-kind, this newly restored home preserves features from nearly 100 years ago when it was built for the Transylvania Tanning Company--you can view the tannery’s smokestack from the house. Walk to Brevard's downtown shops and restaurants. Conveniently located near Bracken Mountain Preserve, Brevard Music Center, and local bicycle path, each within 5 minutes. The neighborhood features a zip line park (100 yards away), and the Tannery Skate Park just around the corner.
The space
This newly restored home is situated on a large spacious yard with a patio, complete with a chimnea and patio furniture. A storage shed houses a grill and garden hose to conveniently clean up after your adventures. There's plenty of space to store your bicycles or other such equipment.

The house offers a full kitchen, full washer dryer, high speed internet (5G) and Roku TV.

There's a king size bed in the master bedroom, and a pack n play fits perfectly in the closet, affording infants their own sleeping space.

2nd Stay as Good as 1st

This was our 2nd stay in this nicely renovated historic property. Super clean and so convenient to Brevard shops and restaurants fits our needs to a T. We will be back in 2024 for sure. Michelle is always a pleasure to work with too. We recommend the Tannery House very highly.

Wonderful home in Brevard near downtown! Clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. Fun to learn about the history of the home. Easy check in and out, and owner is communicative and friendly. Would love to stay here again on a future visit. Highly recommended!

Clean, easy to access downtown by bike. Nice to have the storage shed in the back for our bikes. Comfortable. Beds were a little firm for our liking but overall very nice.
