"The staff were a great help in extra amenities we needed. They would come and clean the room daily. The bodywah shampoo and conditioner were small for four people to a room and the AC did not work but they did provide fans for the room which was nice. "Oceanfront property with cozy rooms, friendly staff, and an on-site restaurant. Less than 5 minutes from Hearst Castle. Really appreciate the small touches (a nice hand-written postcard; upscale toiletries). Our room overlooked the ocean, and we watched the sun set. They light bonfires at night. Would definitely return here. Listen to the waves, visit the castle, enjoy the food. Well-run hotel. Better than any chain."

"We have stayed at the Oaks every time we come to Paso Robles. It is clean and quiet. Our room was near the air conditioner pipes and not sure but I heard a loud sound. Next time I will ask for another room. I wish they would put more effort into the breakfast. It’s a nice place to stay."

"love this place- one of my favorites along the central coast. Solo traveling female on the weekend, I never felt unsafe or watched. All the staff were kind. room was clean. The grounds were kept. there's a trail that leads to downtown Cambria (not recommended to walk at night as its not lit). Its just a great place to stay. Had dinner in the lounge Friday night and had great food and a nice couple entertainers and a good selection of cocktails."
