Traveled with my family of 6 (2 adults, 4 teens) and were very happy with our stay. The location of the town home is very convenient to the downtown Boston area (approximately a 10 minute Uber ride). Somerville is just outside of the "main" downtown Boston area - We did not use the public transportation, so can't speak on the proximity of that, but our Uber rides were typically about $20.00 for a 6 passenger. The home is walking distance to a large grocery store (Stop and Shop), and several excellent restaurants (2 specifically that we loved - Vinny's Ristorante & La Brasa). Cute ice cream shop a couple blocks away, as well as gas station, pizza places, Dunkin Donuts, etc... Residential type neighborhood, felt very safe and comfortable walking around. We basically used Uber/Lyft to get into Boston each day - and spent the entire day there, returning at night. Never a problem getting an Uber - typically less than a 3 minute wait. We had our car, so we did drive to Harvard for the day, as parking seems a little easier to come by there than in downtown Boston. The kitchenware/silverware/drinkware could use a little help (i.e. only one coffee cup, one sharp knife, pans a little worn) - but we didn't cook much so it was not really an inconvenience for us, just something for the owner to perhaps address. A minor issue with the owner entering the premises unannounced twice while we were there - apparently a miscommunication on his part as to when we were checking out. A little unsettling, but he was very apologetic. All in all, it was a very comfortable, nicely appointed home, with pretty much all we needed. The included parking was a HUGE benefit, as almost every other place we considered either charged for parking or you were on your own to find it. There is a private driveway (shared with two other units) or you can park on the street with the provided parking pass. Again - this is a really big plus if you start looking at the cost of garage parking and meter parking in the Boston area. As to other comments on the lack of TV offerings - yes, only a handful of channels available - but when you are in a great city to explore - why sit at home watching tv anyway??? If you are a family looking for a convenient, comfortable home while visiting Boston, Harvard, etc.... I would recommend this. We were quite happy with our stay, the location of the property and the amenities that a "home" provides versus a hotel room.
