良かった点 : スタッフとサービス

エコを売りにしているためか、電気温水器の貯水タイプのお風呂になっている。お湯が一定数しか出ない、しかも結構少ない。浴槽に十分なお湯は注ぐ事ができなかった。気候のせいか、蝉や虫が沢山いた。ヴィラ内は大丈夫だったが、レストランやホテル内は気になる人はなるかも。それら以外はとても良いホテルです。気さくに話しかけてくれるスタッフに気配りもして貰え、ボロブドゥール遺跡への送迎までしてもらいました。ありがたかったです。

ボロブドゥール遺跡を望む大自然の中のリゾート

ジョグジャカルタ空港から車で最低９０分くらいかかると思います。私たちは往復ともに送迎をお願いしました。渋滞することもあるので余裕を見た方がいいです。私たちは２３時半頃にようやく到着し、チェックインしました。雨がしとしとと降りホテルは静まり返っていました。一人のスタッフが手書きのメモをもとにザクッとホテルの説明をして、部屋に案内をしていただきました。レストランは一箇所で、２４時間ルームサービスはなかったと思います。レストランもラストオーダーは２０時と早いので、気をつけたほうが良いです。朝食は、私たちが滞在した間は、セットメニューではなくブッフェでした。どれもとても美味しかったですが、パンやデニッシュよりは、やはりローカルフードが美味しいです。マンゴスチンもありました。部屋に高価なニュージーランドのピノノワールのボトルワインが置いてあり、つい開けてしまいましたが、むちゃくちゃ美味しかった。一気に飲まず、二人で２日かけてちびちびプールサイドで飲みました。１２月３１日夜のnew year eveのパーティにも参加しました。学園祭のようなノリで若返りました。コマ回しや、各種ゲームで参加者が競争し、勝者にはワインやディナー券、プラタラン無料宿泊券など、景品がたくさん出ました。願いを書いた短冊を結んでランタンを上げるイベントは予想外に感動しましたが、向かいのボロブドゥール遺跡のマノハラホテルあたり（おそらく）からも大量のランタンが空に昇っていくのが見え、そちらの方が感動しました。数で負けました。料理はインドネシア各地の屋台が出て、どれも美味しかったです。特にスイーツは絶品でした。カウントダウンの後は、ホテルスタッフもワインラッパ飲みしたり、すごかったです。私たちはこういうノリは好きです。翌日は昨夜が嘘のように高級ホテルの落ち着きに戻ってました。スパにも行きました。マッサージはパワフルでした。スパの部屋から見える樹海が圧巻です。ホテルは大自然の中にあり、蚊もいますので気をつけたほうがいいです。蝶やトンボや、蜘蛛、蛇にトカゲ、蟻の大群、なんでもいますが、薬を使って退けていないということです。雨季だったので、毎日雨が降りました。朝方は霧が出て、雲海のようになり、霧の向こうから朝日とともに遺跡が見えてくる様子は感動的です。運が良ければそういう風景が見えるかもしれません。

Quiet, beautiful Villa in Borobudur

We stayed Exclusive Suite for two nights. We have the fantastic time in this hotel. The villas are located nearby a small quiet village, about 10 minutes drive from Borobudur temples. Room was well-kept and clean, and comfortable. The staffs were very friendly and diligent. They can deal with any matter very promptly and honestly. We had great breakfast at the dining in this hotel but in-room dinner from this dining, the soops was not hot, tepid. The Stupa restaurant adjacent this hotel was excellent, so I recommend to have Indonesian dinner at there.

山の中腹のコテージ

ホテルのテラス、レストランからボロブドゥール遺跡が見えます。サンライズ、サンセットツアーも検討しましたが、お天気が良くなかったので申し込みませんでした。昼間に登って来れば、あとはホテルから眺めているだけで十分でした。4時から無料のアフタヌーンティタイムがあります。コーヒーか紅茶とスィーツが出ます。夕飯もホテルのレストランでしたが値段もリーズナブルで美味しかったです。

ボロブドゥールの田舎にたたずむ最高のリゾート。何もしないことが、何よりの贅沢です。

プール付きのヴィラで、休日を過ごしました。とてものんびりできました。ホテルのスタッフは、とても丁寧で、なおかつ積極的にお客さんに話しかけてくれ、名前まで憶えてくれました。何もしないことが最高の贅沢だと思わせてくれるリゾートです。

We stayed in Plataran resorts both in Borabadur and Labuan Bajo. The facilities are fantastic. Our room was lovely, the pools are well kept, the food is safe and tasty and we appreciated that they provided safe drinking water. We got up to take photos of the sunrising over Borabadur and it was an amazing experience. We were picked up from our villa and there was hot coffee and snacks for us while the sun came up. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. There are 2 mosques in the area that use loudspeakers but it's part of the culture and experience. Borabadur is a quick drive away and amazing.

Beautiful location and views, and close to Borobudur. All staff we interacted with were super friendly and helpful. The villa we stayed in was beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The private infinity pool was a real treat at the end of the day.

Private & Secluded Place for Peaceful Vacation

A quiet, serene compound of villas with amazing views of Borobudur temple at the far background. Full privacy and tranquility as each villa has its own secluded lot, with assigned executive butler, supporting our family vacation here. The welcome hand & shoulder massage at reception area when we arrived, quite a distinc service given. Don't miss to indulge in one hour morning yoga session at the open court/ amphitheater of Putri Dewi joglo building, that we enjoyed before breakfast time. There's small zoo for kids activity of feeding animal. A big swimming pool is available also near the dining place, aside from private pool at each villa. A remarkable place to stay indeed!! Find it out by your good self.

Room for improvement

The property is conveniently located near major tourist sites Borobudur and Chicken Church. Within the resort complex there's a mini zoo, where you can feed deer foods. Near the resort lobby there's a small stable for horseback riding, while there we saw a child fell down off the horse. The hotel personnel was a bit careless, for anyone reading this review please keep a close eye of your children and always pay attetion. We had the borobudr villa, the view is very nice as we can clearly see the temple. Breakfast buffet quality is above average, however selections could improve. The villa could get nosiy during prayer time but ear plugs were provided. The maintenance of the villa could also improve, the Ac wasn't working properly and need to be fix, and during our stay there were small grasshopper and ants inside the room and bathhroom.

beautiful, little villa resort, convient for sightseeing - great for 1 or 2 nights. Not worse to visit the local volcano, overpriced and not interesting for an European visitor. Downside, the hotel is surrounded by several very active mosques! You struggle to get a good night sleep although the hotel provides earplugs. From 4pm onward the main pool as well as the villa pools are in the shade, the hotel gym is very small and not well equipped. Borobudur was our 2nd stop on the a longer Asian trip and the relaxing atmosphere of Plataran Borobudur was very much appreciated.

Indonesisches Lächeln mit colonialen Charme

Es war einfach Wunderbar! Wir werden den Blick auf den Borobudur beim Frühstück vermissen! Vielen Dank an alle die diesen Aufenthalt so traumhaft gemacht haben. Stellvertretend hierfür vielen Dank an Siska und Ayu. Ob die kulinarische Vielfalt im Patio Colonial Restaurant, die Freundlichkeit der Angestellten oder der Charme des traditionellen Baustils, all das ist Plataran. In Verbindung mit dem jüngst erbauten Plataran Heritage Hotel ist es eine gute Kombination. Im dortigen Stupa Restaurant findet man die indonesische Küche. Das Patio Colonial lässt keine Wünsche offen! Die Massagen sowohl im Resort als auch im Heritage Hotel sind Erholung pur. Das Lächeln der Menschen dort ist bezaubernd. We absolutely loved our stay at Plataran Borobudur. We spent the first week of our honeymoon here and really enjoyed how relaxing it was. We were so impressed at the hospitality of all of the staff; they waited on us hand and foot and made sure at every meal that we were happy and helped us with our plans for each day. The manager was amazing too! We did the Borobudur temple at sunrise and went on a bike tour around the local villages, making some pottery and learning how to make tofu. Would love to go back! 10/10 recommend!

acoustically challenged

When checking in we were let know that the resort is in a Muslim setting, a fact that should surprise no one traveling in Indonesia. We were offered earplugs together with this information. Despite having traveled in several Muslim countries, we were surprised by the intensity of the Muezzin prayers over public speaker, as well as the frequency. Sleep was impossible after 4 am, but allowed plenty of time to prepare for the sunrise, which can be observed from the restaurant's terrace with the temple in the background. During the day and evenings, there were plenty of other sources of noise, ranging from rock music to all kinds of celebrations, making one feel like being caught in an acoustic crossfire. Needless to say that this did impact our stay and our ability to enjoy the otherwise great hotel and restaurant.

Amazing Hotel. Only 6 minutes away by car from Borobudur temple. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were luxurious, comfortable, clean, and stylish. Loved every minute of my stay. I had my own private pool that overlooks Borobudur temple. I highly recommend staying there and trying the spa.

Perfect in every sense! And it was nice to experience the local area. The view of Borobudur was magical and serene, and it was nice just to sit and watch it glow then grow dark at sunset. Breakfast was excellent. I especially enjoyed the Indonesian options. Javanese cooking at its best!

Beautiful

The resort grounds and surrounding area was beautiful. The view of the mountains from my villa was wonderful. The close proximity to Borobudur Temple makes a sunrise tour much easier.

One of my best vacations ever!

Stayed at the hotel and got a room upgrade. The whole stay was just amazing! The staff were all so accommodating and helped make my stay more wonderful. I got the recommendation to go to Borobudur for a sunset instead of the sunrise as it's cloudy and I'm pretty happy I got the best photos. Food was amazing too and enjoyed all the Indonesian food.

A beautiful place to stay, incredible staff & food

I came specifically to visit the 1,000 year old Borobudur Buddhist temple as it has been a destination I’ve wanted to explore for many years. I was considering the Plataran anyway but what swayed it was a friend’s recommendation. I loved the place. The staff were incredible, doing everything they could to maximise your time with them, giving objective and helpful recommendations and advice. At times it almost felt too attentive, which is probably a good problem to have. The only downside was that many tours were based on a minimum of 2 guests which meant that they couldn’t organise some of their great experiences for a single traveller. So I missed out on one of my choices - the cycling tour of nearby villages - which was a disappointment. However, I got to spend the afternoon by the pool followed by an hour an a half experiencing a great massage in their beautiful spa!

Beautiful hotel in a remote gorgeous setting

Excellent experience. Very beautiful and well run property. Hotel manager Thomas was really helpful and knowledge. Top notch. The property is serene and beautiful and so close to Borobudur- it’s perfect if you want to visit at sunrise. Great experience. Thomas has encouraged us to visit other Plataran properties in Indonesia and we are looking forward to more of their excellent hospitality.

Five star service in unexpected location.

When driving there, we realized this was not a typical tourist destination teeming with tourists and along the drive I began to become concerned as it looked "rustic". We were more than pleasantly surprised to find high quality service, accommodations and food. The staff remembered (spa, restaurant, bar, front desk) all remembered us by name and our preferences (food, drink, etc.). The chef is trained in Italian cooking and traditional Indonesian cooking and would prepare special menus, based on our tastes, upon request. The spa and tour staff also went out of their way to help us enjoy our stay. Our bike tour ended up with our guide picking fresh rambutans for us (b/c I said I hadn't eaten any at the hotel) and the spa staff gave me a jar of their homemade bath salts just b/c I said I loved it. I would highly recommend this as a luxurious break from the daily grind which is off the beaten path.

Beautiful Boroburbur hotel

I loved this hotel. The location is stunning, nestled in the tropical jungle with views of the Boroburbur temple and volcanoes. The staff are friendly and efficient. The food at both the Patio and Stupor restaurants incredible and reasonably priced. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the pool area elegant. The only thing I do need to warn travellers is the calls to prayer are pretty loud and start before sunrise. Wear ear plugs if you would like to sleep in. Otherwise one of my favourite hotels in SE Asia and a perfect location to explore the temple.

Relaxing holiday

Fantastic place - close to nature and extremely relaxing! Staff is wonderful, so helpful and friendly. We had a small issue with the room, but the staff immediately helped us and offered us compensation for the problem. We will definitely be back!

Hotel scindé en 2 parties non communicantes : Building ou Villas Avis sur partie Villas uniquement Très bel emplacement MAIS à flanc de colline avec des pentes très abruptes pour les accès (pente à plus de 20%) ce qui rend tout déplacement très fatiguant voir impossible pour les personnes agées ou ayant des soucis de mobilité ou problèmes cardiaques ... pas de voiturettes pour les déplacements pour pallier à ce sujet Multiples hauts parleurs à proximité pour les appels à la prière (1er à 04h30) véritable cacophonie en fin de journée....typique le 1er jour, mais fatiguant le lendemain ..... repos et calme non réalisables Restaurant et personnel de très bonne qualité, propreté ... vue panoramique superbe Très agréable en dehors des problèmes éévoqués

We are delighted to hear that you like Panoramic view as well as our team’s helpfulness and clean restaurant. Regarding the noise disturbance you had during your stay, kindly understand that the resort is surrounded by 4 local villages which from time to time will have local events and sometimes it is not possible for us to avoid the disturbance occurs around the resort. However, we tried to get the local events information as many as we can and notify our guests in advance to avoid any surprise effect during the stay. We also provide an earplug in every villa to minimize the disturbance. The mobility throughout the resort is very accommodating since we have buggy car stand by 24 hours, I regret to hear that you haven’t reach us to provide you with best location to lessen the steps and easy access to or from your villa. It was a very happy hostel.I plan to visit again next time. In particular, the kindness and caring of the employees were beyond expectations. 지나가는 시간이 너무 아까운 숙소입니다. 시내를 갈려면 1시간20분 소요되어 이동에 불편함이 있으나 저의경우는 시내는 가지않고 숙소와 보로두부르 사원만 갔습니다. 정말 최고의 숙소입니다. 조용하고 정갈한 분위기를 원한다면 추천합니다.
