We enjoyed our stay, although during winter time I can see how it may not be for everyone. It is very remote, and it is about a 15 minute drive along a graded road, although that's not uncommon for rural Iceland. Our host was very quick to reply with any questions we had, which was helpful since we couldn't find our directions to the cabin. The space itself was clean, and the beds were comfortable. For as many windows as the place has, it does stay very warm at night. The nearest town is about 25 minutes away and does have a few restaurants, plus a market if you want to take advantage of the full kitchen back at the cabin. The driveway is on a slope, so it can get very icy and slippery in the cold. All in all, we thought it was a great value, well located for what we were doing, and we would gladly stay there again.
