Misty Ridge Retreat is a charming, upscale mountain cottage in Blowing Rock, less than 5 miles from downtown, with incredible long-range mountain views. This house is bursting with amenities like a hot tub, an outdoor fire pit, an indoor/outdoor ping pong table, a foosball table, a cornhole game, a napping swing, two (2) fireplaces, and many games and activities for guests to enjoy.

The owners of Misty Ridge Retreat have completed a thorough, meticulous renovation that included every room in the house to provide a property fitting the expectations and approval of a luxury renter. Most recently, the owners have added an EV charging port and a whole-house backup generator for comfort and peace of mind. We are excited to partner with them and offer this exceptional mountain retreat to vacationing families for years to come.

The roads to Misty Ridge Retreat are paved and typically well-maintained. We do suggest 4WD if you plan to come during winter weather. Level parking for two vehicles just a few steps from the front door makes access easy, even for those with mobility limitations. One small step up onto the covered front porch from the parking area, and you have level entry into the house and the main level. The front porch offers comfy rocking chairs and a cornhole set for entertainment.

The main level includes a great room with soaring, vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, comfy leather furniture around a stone gas log fireplace, and an HD Smart TV. Oversized windows and glass doors reveal layered mountain views. There are numerous custom touches, like the one-of-a-kind hand-carved coffee table.

The kitchen is well-stocked and nicely updated, with granite countertops, stainless appliances, and everything you need to prepare and serve family meals. The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen, providing seating for up to nine (9) guests, six (6) at the dining table, plus three (3) more bar stool seats at the adjacent kitchen peninsula. Walk out to the rear deck from the great room or the dining area and enjoy outdoor dining for up to six (6) at a four-seat outdoor dining table and a custom live-edge bar top with two (2) barstools. There is a gas grill for outdoor grilling. Enjoy the spectacular backdrop of the Blue Ridge mountains while you dine.

The queen bedroom suite is on the main level and has an HD Smart TV and a full ensuite bathroom, nicely updated with a tile and rock shower and a granite vanity sink.

The upstairs loft provides a cozy game and media area with a foosball table, a comfy sofa, an HD Smart TV, and a game table with a checkers/chess board and backgammon. Find other puzzles and board games on the built-in shelving for family fun. The loft has a sleeper sofa, a half bathroom, and a laundry closet with a washer and dryer.

The lower level features two more bedroom suites, each with a private ensuite bathroom. The bunk suite is at the foot of the stairs, with a twin-over-full bunk bed, a twin trundle bed, an HD Smart TV, and an ensuite bathroom, nicely updated with a granite vanity sink and a tile shower with a frameless glass door. The master bedroom is spacious and is furnished with a king bed, a gas log fireplace, an HD Smart TV, a sitting area, and oversized windows and doors to reveal the views. The ensuite master bathroom has a huge soaking tub, a separate tile shower, and a frameless glass door. Sliding glass doors lead out from the master bedroom to the rear deck furnished with a bistro table, chairs, and a comfy napping swing.

Along the side of the house, accessible from steps down from both the rear lower view deck as well as from the front porch, is a cozy courtyard tucked in amongst native Rhododendrons and lush landscaping, with a gazebo covering the hot tub and a gas fire pit flanked by Adirondack chairs. Beside the courtyard, tucked under the front porch, is a latticed ping pong hideaway with a full-sized ping pong table. Enjoy a private dip in the hot tub and the warm fire pit while looking out at the serene mountain tops.

Important Note: Parking for 3 cars is allowed (No oversized trucks, vans, or commercial vehicles). The parking situation at this property is monitored by the neighborhood HOA, so please limit onsite vehicles to three maximum. We allow offsite parking for extra vehicles at either of our two Boone locations, the closest of which is less than 10 miles from the property.

Important Note: Misty Ridge Retreat is in a peaceful, private neighborhood and is unsuitable for parties or loud gatherings. Please respect the full-time members of this community by being mindful and treating others as you would like to be treated. No loud noise is allowed outside after 10 p.m.

Misty Ridge Retreat welcomes 2 dogs under 35 pounds for an additional pet fee.
