The Story Behind the Name
I grew up in Virginia among the expansive views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Actually, I thought everyone looked out their bedroom window across a sea of blue and purple ridges. Then I married a man from Ohio and life took us west for fifteen years.

It's been such a mercy to come home to the mountains—these mountains, in particular. You will find, as we have, that the best people in the world live around here. People you can count on. In 1 Beautiful View you can sit on the porch and look out over these beautiful blue ridges—and watch your worries evaporate into thin mountain air.

This exemplary custom built mountain home, perched atop Appalachian Ski Mountain, surely has one of the most beautiful views in the High Country! The main level has an open floor plan with a wall of windows overlooking the stunning views. Leather furniture is arranged around a floor to ceiling stacked stone gas log fireplace, with a 50” TV mounted above it. Behind the seating area is a dining room table large enough to comfortably seat 6 next to the kitchen outfitted with granite counters and stainless steel appliances, artfully lit by overhead track lighting. Coffee lovers will enjoy being able to use either the classic drip-style maker or the Keurig machine! There is a laundry closet and a half bath just off the main area.

The master suite on this floor, done in a peaceful green theme, has a King bed with a TV and ceiling fan, and an en suite bathroom with a tiled shower and a separate bathtub, double vanities, and a water closet.

Downstairs is a spacious theater room with comfortable seating around a 50” HDTV and BluRay player, with a Berringer pool table in the rear. The second master suite is on this floor, featuring a wild birds theme and a king bed with a TV and access to the bathroom with a tub/shower combination. The bathroom is also open to the hallway, and there is a sitting room off the hallway with a daybed and trundle underneath.

Both the main and lower levels of the home have expansive decking. The hot tub overlooks the beautiful mountain views from its position on the lower level, and on the upper level you'll find seating to kick back and enjoy the year-round vistas, as well as the firepit in the yard.

Perfectly situated on Appalachian Ski Mountain between Boone and Blowing Rock, and outfitted with every feature you could possibly want in a mountain escape, you're sure to love coming home to 1 Beautiful View!

Additional Notes:
• All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
• Please note that the distances shown on VRBO's map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.
• Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
• PET FEE: $25 PER NIGHT, MAX 1 DOG. HYPO-ALLERGENIC DOGS 20LB AND UNDER ONLY PLEASE.
• Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
• Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
• No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
• Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
• No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
• 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.

CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
