This place is amazing! So cute with wonderful gardens. Also, the walk to downtown is no more than 5-7 minutes and it is flat. Very attentive host.

Everything about our stay was perfect. Our host Shirley was amazing and made us immediately feel at home. The cottage is beautiful and sits on lovely grounds surrounded by an amazing garden. The location is walking distance to a quaint town and provides easy on -off access to the highway making it convenient to access all attractions and downtown Asheville.

Romantic Cottage

Enjoyed celebrating our 39th anniversary at the beautiful Cottage. Very lovely and comfortable. We did some shopping and ate in Black Mountain, and sat on the porch and enjoyed the garden lights. Thanks have a lovely stay.

Black Mountain getaway

Lovely and relaxing oasis walking distance to all Black Mountain has to offer. Clean , quiet and perfectly appointed for a home away from home. Wonderful host.

Lovely Cottage!

We enjoyed our stay. The cottage was a great home base to visit The Biltmore, The Grove Park Inn, and we also did a downtown Asheville food tour. Downtown Black Mountain is quaint with places to shop and delicious places to eat which are within walking distance from the cottage!

Perfect for a brief getaway!

This cottage was just right for a mother daughter weekend. It was very clean, had comfortable beds, and every detail was considered! It was also a very convenient location. We would absolutely stay there again next time we visit Black Mountain.

A great quaint cottage

This cottage made for an excellent place to live and relax in while we spent the week on vacation. The owner, Shirley, was super nice and accommodating. If you're new or old to the area of Black Mountain or Asheville, this is definitely the cottage to enjoy your surroundings in.

Anniversary Trip

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Even though the cottage was small, it was perfect and had everything we needed. And the porch was so great to sit and enjoy the beautiful gardens and listen to the birds. We enjoyed talking with the owner and meeting her little dog Sugar.

Fabulous cottage

We loved the cottage and the lovely garden in front of our private abode. We ate on the porch every day with a sweet rose tablecloth and a handcut real rose in a vase. It was just a sweet stay and will definitely go back!

Quaint little garden cottage

This little cottage is the perfect little place for a romantic getaway. Easily walkable to downtown Black Mountain, the chic decor and updated amenities kept us warm and comfortable, even in the frosty month of December. The outdoor garden area provides a tranquil space, even in dormant winter times. With the dedicated off street parking, beautiful interior, gracious hostess, and proximity to town, this is a true 10/10.

Delightful cozy cottage!

We were able to hike within 10 minute drive, walk into town for meals, coffee, etc. We had a cozy cottage with plenty of room for the two of us. Everything worked well, and Shirley greeted us when we arrived. We loved it!

Great Weekend!

The cottage was as advertised. Fantastic place to stay, close to town and beautiful garden area even though it was the off season. We plan on coming back when its in full bloom. Shirley is awesome!! Can't wait ro go back, sit around the fire and have margaritas with her!!

Perfect location, Perfect property

The very accurate property description was exactly what we wanted: well-appointed with comfortable furniture and modern appliances, a lovely sitting porch and an easy walk to terrific downtown (no chain) restaurants. The cottage was in a terrific flower garden with entertaining bird feeding. The host was wonderfully friendly and helpful.

It was just lovely! The garden and the house were just enchanting! Not only was it beautiful, it was convenient and had all that we needed to make our stay comfortable. Oasis in Black Mountain

This is what non-hotel vacation is all about. All places should be like this. Great host, location, ambiance and relaxation. Quite frankly, adding more words is just a distraction. If in the Black Mountain area and traveling as a couple (as we were), this is the place.

Lovely mountain oasis

This property was as charming and welcoming as described. What is hard to put into words is the wonder of Shirley's garden, swing, water feature, and birdsongs! Beautiful cottage

My wife and I visited Black Mountain for a mid-week getaway. The mountain vistas and the quaint town filled with outstanding restaurants were just what we expected. But, this cottage was an unexpected surprise. This cozy, beautifully decorated cottage and its wonderful garden, was the highlight of our trip. We had the best time relaxing in the garden enjoying the beautiful flowers, song birds, and fire flies. Can’t wait to do it again.

Just like home

Country Girl was the perfect little getaway and Shirley was a wonderful hostess. The cottage is adorable and very comfortable. Every little detail was thought of. The garden and firepit were especially nice to enjoy in the morning with a cup of coffee and in the evening with a glass of wine. I felt very much at home thanks to Shirley and her friends. They welcomed me happily and warmly to Black Mountain!
