"This is a gem of a stay. A beautiful historical house that has been decorated to the highest of standards, immaculately clean, a warm greeting from our hosts Jenny and Mark, who missed nothing for our information. Our spacious en suite room was also decorated to a high standard in keeping with the rest of the house with a large comfortable bed which aforded us a good night's sleep. The breakfast menu tells its own story of fresh locally produced and sourced food on offer, freshly cooked and served by very attentive staff on an impressive table dressed by fine china and starch ironed linnen tablecloth in the dining room with Welsh dressers filled by family heirlooms of fine bone china. The breakfast choice was varied and plentiful. We settled for a light breakfast of orange juice, with scrambled eggs cooked to perfection with toasted wholemeal bread served with a pot of Scottish blended morning tea. The house is situated at the very start of the historical fishing town of Anstruther with views over the Firth of Forth it offers a pleasent walk into town, or the further afield Celardyke on the coastal path. With it's award winning beach and award winning fish and chip resturant Anstruther is supported by a good selection of bars and resturants craft shops a museum, or a sail to the isle of May from the marina. There is no doubt that we will be back."

"Comfortable bed, room, excellent food, friendly staff. Just parking was difficult, had a 5 minute walk from the nearest free parking up the hill. Also maybe breakfast was a bit late at 8am. This is nit picking though, would stay there again and recommend it to others "

"This one bedroom garden apartment is located in a quiet street very close to the harbour and main street in Anstruther.It is immaculately clean and beautifully presented. The quality of the sheets and towels is excellent. The decor and furnishings are very nice and tastefully done to a high standard. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you could possibly need if you are dining in. This was one of the nicest holiday homes I have ever stayed in. I had a lovely few days here in April and I've every intention of making a return visit."

"lovely house, spotlessly clean, has everything you would need. perfectly situated for exploring the east neuk area. recommend dipping in the tidal pools and a visit to the harbour tearoom in crail for soup. cheesy toast shack also worth a visit. parking is not too far away but access is available for unloading/loading. "

"Such a beautiful well equipped cottage and a great location to explore the coastal paths. Travelling late in Novembers meant you miss out of boat trips and the secret bunker as it is out of season. But it is so beautiful with so much to see it is well worth the trip."

"Fantastic one bedroomed ground floor apartment in a superb location very central to the town centre with its abundence of restaurants, cafes and pubs, all pet friendly. Come out of the front door and you are on one of the beach also pet friendly. Superb sunrise and sunsets. There is parking outside the property on castle street but also street parking nearby and esplanade parking across beach reached at low tide by steps ( high tide around the road 5min walk). The property is surprisingly spacious for 2 people ( and 1 dog) the lounge is at front of property with comfy sofa and chairs and large wall mounted TV. Each room has a voice activated Google controlled heater very effecient a bit awkward to understand how to change settings via remote control (instructions are available). Lights in lounge also Google controlled. Kitchen is small but perfectly formed and has everything you would need. Has a coffee pod machine bring pods with you as we couldn’t find any in local coop supermarket.instant coffee/ tea etc was provided but no pods. Bedroom very cosy with a standard double bed if you are used to a king or queen size it’s quite small. A small hall with room to hang coats and contains utility cupboard with washing machine ( didn’t use) leads to a fab bathroom with a large bath and great powerful shower. Loads of hot water never ran out. Next to flat front door is the door to the fully enclosed communal courtyard garden very handy to sit with a coffee and for the dog to sniff."
