The staff is outstanding at this beautiful property. We only stayed one night in Bikaner and weren’t expecting much based on some of the negative reviews we read on Trip Advisor before booking. However our experience was outstanding.
We were warmly greeted and given two beautiful suites. The floor in our room had just been refinished and was still off-gassing. We asked to be moved and were promptly and cheerfully given another room.
We arrived on Diwali and the hotel had fireworks on the front lawn and a dinner in the outdoor central courtyard. There were live musicians and an incredible dancer during dinner.
Breakfast the next morning was great and the service was friendly and professional.
To top it off our friends left behind some clothing. The hotel promptly texted me a photo of what was left behind and kindly mailed it to our address in India so that I could return it to them when we finally go back to the USA. Thank you Mr. Narendra Singh Shekhawat for going above and beyond.
I happily recommend a stay at the Laxmi Niwas Palace. We look forward to returning.

Palace Hotel
This is a beautiful palace converted into a hotel, service is very good. Food is overpriced for the location. Maintenance of the property can be better but was fine for one night.
Good option for palace living experience @ Bikaner
Laxmi Niwas is a good palace hotel for a stay @ Bikaner. The hotel has maintained its palace features very well. The service at the hotel's restaurants can be better - not equipped to handle a full house.
Best hotel stay ever!!! The hotel is a former palace with all its beauty. The staff at the hotel is extremely attentive and friendly. They go above and beyond in anticipating your needs and taking care of them without you needing to even ask! I would go to Bikaner just to spend time at this fabulous hotel and be pampered.
This place has very big rooms
and even the shower had a separate room very spacious
good staff we could imagine
the way the kings live the history of the surrounding is still there.very comfortable beds and good facilities.

Me and my wife stayed here from 25th to 28th Dec. It was a wonderful experience. The staff is particularly helpful and made our stay an experience to remember. The daily events including the flute vadan, the folk music rendition in the evening and the pool side rajasthani folk music group were amazing. The place is steeped in history. It is a must visit.
We had a wonderful stay at the Laxmi Niwas. Due to a hotel overbooking, we were upgraded to the Royal Suite - a vast luxurious suite of rooms with huge historical associations! A real privilege. Very good service, and the food form the a la carte menu in the restaurant was exceptional. The only downside is that the magnificent suite doesn't have any outside views! A good pool, and a most memorable stay. Highly recommended.
One night stay on our tour of Rajasthan. Lots of deals are available so very good value. The building is amazing and a chance to stay somewhere special if you can't afford to stay in other high end places. The rooms are big but the cheaper rooms are a bit dark - it's a converted palace and they are trying to protect the building so it's unavoidable. Pool was pretty good and also had dinner which was a great setting and high quality. Very enjoyable for a short stay.
Accomadation is great, unfortunately because it was built many years ago, central air conditioning could not be built in now. The air cooler option in the room could not beat the heat.

good stay
The Hotel is very nice. The room very big on the roof, really it was an experience.
it seems like the maintenance should improve as well as cleanness of the bathroom.
Breakfast was remarkable. internet very slow and disconnecting again and again. ancient AC devise. We certainly are happy been stayed in this hotel. should missing services been provided, the return value after cost could be perfect.

The property has the Royal look and feel however the property can be better maintained. We had deal with a tripping fuse for our room. We lost electricity in our room 4 times in 40’minutes. It only was sustainable after they reduced the heater load and we spent the night in a colder room.
This was an old palace converted to a hotel. The public areas were good and the restaurant was also good. The room we were given was on the top floor with no access by elevator as it stopped 2 floors below and there were a lot of stairs to climb. The room was adequate at best and the bathroom less so giving the impression that it was long overdue for a refurbish. Overall impression public areas good room etc badly in need of more work to come up to standard expected.

Average Heritage Property
Being a heritage property, they are just complacent due to their unique advantage of being situated inside a palace building, but they are not much bothered about excellent services in line with today's standards of hospitality industry. Room was ordinary and house keeping standard was low. To my estimate food was extremely costly. I have also stayed at Gajner Palace, Bikaner and I found it a much better heritage property as compared to Laxmi Niwas Palace. If one has own vehicle than Gajner is a much better choice.
I generally refrain from writing bad reviews but this place just seems to be trading on its reputation. For all the hotels I stated in in India this was probably the most disappointing. Beer overpriced, food was good but took ages to be served. Room was average, certainly a disappointment for this supposed quality of hotel. Wifi didn't work in room. Bathroom stank of drains. Staff seemed fairly indifferent on the day I arrived. Batman was the exception, he was great. Restaurant staff were just plain lazy. Overall I think they need to get back to the levels of service this place has clearly had in the past.
This hotel was formerly a palace and therefore staying in such a place is an experience in itself. I had read a few of the reviews on tripadvisor and was a little apprehensive about how our stay would turn out. However everything turned out great. On arrival the receptionist at the front desk was very courteous and efficient. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. Our room was good considering the price we paid. The bathroom was huge and very clean. The only fault that I can find with the room was the heating which was completely insufficient for such a massive room thus making the room extremely cold and damp. The food was very ordinary and they should do something about that. But in spite of this dinner in the courtyard is an absolute must. It's a wonderful experience and the evening entertainment with the music and dance was just fabulous. The woman who performed the traditional dances was unbelievable and the whole experience was wonderful. This hotel has a lot of heritage to offer and its great to get lost in the corridors and discover the palace. We visited the bar, the billiards room, conference room and it's nice to soak up all the history and architecture. Like many have mentioned this hotel is slightly worn down and a renovation would be nice but I think the faded grandeur also adds to its charm. The grounds around the hotel is beautiful and we spent both of our evenings in the lawns (with peacocks!). Overall a good experience !
