1. There is literally NO HEAT in three of the 4 bedrooms in this dilapitdated cabin! It is against the law in the state of California to rent out a room or home iwhtout a permanent heat source in each room. I was horrified during the night to find that there were no vents whatsoever in the master bedroom. There was only a light cover on the bed, and all the other bedding was in a closet in the bedroom next door. I nearly froze to death, putting on all my clothes and covering myself with a towel. One of the worst nights of my life.
2. However, my daughter and her boyfriend had it even worse in the bunk bed room downstairs. The entire downstairs has no heat of any kind. Her room had a small space heater in it that did not work. The bunk beds were impossible to sleep on as the mattresses are ruined and the bunkbed frame is very shaky. They slept not a wink the whole night, and passed the second night on the incredibly uncomfortable sofa and loveseat in the living room.
3. Of course we needed coffee to try to recover from such an awful night, but found that there was no coffee grinder and no sugar or sweetener. So no coffee.
4. We paid a lot more to get a cabin with a jacuzzi but the hot tub never got more than luke warm, 85-90 degrees. And so full of chlorine that our skin was burning.
5. For a cabin clearly rented out for 8 people, there only 5 forks and 6 chairs to go around the dining room table and no salt and pepper, let alone sugar or cinnamon, in "fully equipped kitchen."
6. A chirping sound started in the master bedroom which it took us a quite a while to figure out was from a small carbon monoxide detector near the floor in the master bedroom.
7. The sofa and love seat in the living room are completely worn out. When you sit in them, you fall in, since there is nothing to the cushions. I can't imagine sleeping on those, as my daughter and her boyfriend had to.
8. There are no window coverings over a large window in the master bedroom, and french doors are drafty, contributing to the freezing temperatures in that room. Unbearably cold.
