Had a lovely 2 night stay at Chateau D'Auteuil. Pol and Sabine were great hosts, providing recommendations for dinner and activities to do during our stay. We loved seeing how much the property has been transformed since they started their renovations. Highly recommend this property
it is comfy, peaceful and very big. The owner of the castle is very nice. This is a such excellence experience to taste a luxurious life of 16th century! Unforgettable stay!
The property has been beautifully and sympathetically restored by the owners. It is very clean and the rooms are large and airy and the bed, most importantly, was supremely comfortable. We had travelled there on motorbikes and the owner kindly allowed us to park in front of the chateau, which made for some great photos. We were also given a tour of chateau and learned about its history. After a long day's ride we decided to get a cab into the nearest large town, Beauvais for dinner. That was 80 euros for a return journey. (I can recommend 'The Gargoyle' in Beavais for a lovely meal).Unfortunately, the breakfast was disappointing; croissants, bread and a yoghurt, and very cold coffee . My friend (who is French) asked for ham and cheese and was given half a slice of ham and an inch of cheese. This was the third and most expensive hotel on our week-long trip and the breakfast was easily the poorest.
We were lucky to be the only people staying at the property as we returned to the UK from a road trip to Marseille. The owner Pol gave us a tour of the chateau including the chapel which like much of the house is a long restoration project. Our room was great and we had a good continental breakfast. close to the town of Beauvais. We could have stayed longer!
Wonderful night spent here. All the staff were really kind, friendly and helpful. Set in the most beautiful countryside, the house is awesome, and when we were late arriving the owner stayed up to greet us - superb! wish we had stayed longer and will definitely return very soon.
Beautiful location, spacious rooms with everything you need (more compared to a hotel) and lovely owners. Please do go and have the same lovely experience we had.
The Château is a lovely place to stay. Great food, hospitality and service. The made us a lovely evening meal. (Vegetarian at our request). We were made very welcome and will be returning again soon hopefully.
Got a text property owner with driving directions. Enormous, wonderful castle. This building just breaths history. The entire property is getting renovated, but already very big parts of the building have been completed. The guest rooms are very big, have everything you want and need and are renovated with care and very much eye for detail. everything was top notch. Would definitely stay here again!
