"We enjoyed our 3 night stay at this property in Hinton.The surrounding neighborhood was older, but interesting. If you bring a dog and take it walking, beware that there are some big menacing dogs behind some inadequate fencing in the area (not talking about the ones right across the street).We stayed in an upstairs unit. "Though the building and the decor are older, this little slice of tranquility had the most important element in a hotel/motel—CLEANLINESS!!!!!!! The unit and all public areas were immaculate!! Clean! Clean! Clean! And with pride. The staff there had tastefully made this little hotel absolutely charming with its quirkiness. For example, breakfast was the basics—yogurt, fruit, bread, and breakfast bars. No problem. If I want Waffle House, I will go there. However, every inch of this place was spotless. The breakfast area was like an operating room. It had a great and simple collection. It was delightful. The staff even provided snacks readily available, modestly priced, and paid for with the honor system. A quaint feature that probably exists in few places. I didn’t want to leave. In fact, I would like to live there. A little out of the way if you are visiting the National Park, but so worth the drive. Best little hotel experience I have ever had. "

"The views were impressive and the place was clean with a great layout that worked for our family. Our kids enjoyed the mushroom trail. It was very easy to check in and all information about the property and surrounding area was easy to find. Great place to stay!"

"Absolutely amazing cabin with a truly million dollar view. Its about 10 minutes of beautoful back roads to get to the cabin from "civilization" and worth every second. The home was spotlessly clean. Its got everything you need, and the view and property are just beyond description. Close to Hinton and Beckley, where everything and anything you need is available. Close to New River Gorge NP. We did the coal mine tour in Beckley and recommend that. All of the various spots in New River Gorge National Park are striking distance. Reasonably priced boat rentals at Bluestone state park. Great hiking. We did a guided fishing trip with Outcast and had a great time and caught a bunch of smallmouth. Mentioning all of this stuff because the house is on the highest point anywhere around or at least it seems so when taking in the view, but it is still close to everything. Stars on a clear night are absolutely incredible. Sunrise is right in front of you and out the window, and is epic. Bathroom is clean, water pressure is decent. Kitchen has all you need. Loft is really neat with an incredible view. Downstairs bedroom is practical but the pull out couch downstairs is honestly where its at because you can see all of the stars at night and wake up to the view and sunrise. Ample parking. The whole place just works and is exactly as pictured. Worth every cent."

Bear Claw Cove #2 Pet Friendly-Hot tub-Kayak

"Perfect quiet location with Hot Tub. Cabin was so clean and smelled so good when we first arrived. Bear decorated cabin aka Bear Claw Cabin. Everything was so relaxing at the cabin. We spent our days hiking to all the Watefalls with 30ish miles and then soaking in the hot tub in the evening time. Picked this location since it was in the middle of the area for all the local Waterfalls and Hiking trails. Very quiet area, not alot of traffic, plenty of nature to see. We also stopped and watched the construction on the BlueStone Dam. That was pretty cool. Not a lot of restaurants to choose from, but we did go to Hawg Jaws BBQ, Moe's Restaurant, & River City Grill & Pub. Azul Mexican Restaurant in Princeton was on our way back from some waterfalls. We tried to eat at BlueStone Dining Room at Pipestem State Park, but it was too hot at 87 degrees in the restaurant and only 78 outside. The reviews were not that good but had decided to try it out anyways, with no luck as we left. Would definitely recommend this location to anyone who wants piece and quiet and to get away from the hustle & bustle of the city."
