Historic Bonny Cottage in downtown Beaufort SC

Bonny Cottage is located on the property of Ellen and Mike Tomy, one block from the Beaufort River, in the beautiful historic district of Beaufort, South Carolina. It was built in the late 1800s after the recent "unpleasantness". This cottage is so cheerful and has such a sweet spirit, a bad mood will disappear very quickly. Lovely views are all around.
Bonny Cottage has one bedroom with a comfy queen bed and a large bathroom with a shower, a full kitchen and laundry room. It stands alone and has a pleasant patio outside for early morning coffee and late afternoon wine and cheese. Children under 12 are not allowed. Check-in is at 4:00 pm, Check-out is at 10:00 am.

Lovely Cottage!

This was a wonderful place to stay while in Beaufort. You can easily walk to downtown and all of the restaurants. The cottage was immaculate and very well equipped. Definitely consider Bonny Cottage for your next trip to Beaufort.

Absolutely perfect place!

The cottage is stunning with paintings by the owner herself. It was like staying in a gallery. Every detail was accounted for and we have absolutely nothing to suggest for improvement. The location was fabulous, we walked everywhere. One of the highlights of our stay was just sitting down with Ellen and Mike and hearing their story. Thank you for such a perfect weekend. We will definitely be back.

Beaufort Vacation

Our stay at Bonny cottage was very enjoyable. Easy walking distance to restaurants and the downtown. The cottage is very clean and the furnishings are quite nice.The furniture for sitting is doable. Television and streaming services great. We have discovered another fine place in the VRBO system.

Wonderful stay at Bonny Cottage

Our stay at Bonny Cottage could not have been better! The cottage is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. This was the cleanest property we have ever stayed in. The cottage is in walkable distance to the many historic sites, restaurants and shops. Ellen met us on our arrival and Introduced us to the cottage and was accessible and communicated throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to return in the future.

Historical Charm and Style

This cottage is a GEM. It has historical significance that the owner has preserved beautifully. The artwork is an arrangement of original pieces painted by the owner who is a very talented portrait artist. So much thought and care has gone into the experience, from the pantry to the bathroom in terms of items to make a stay more comfortable and beautiful.It's both charming and historical, as well as modern and convenient.

Adorable Perfection

This cottage is totally delightful 💯❣️ And lovely, adorable,classy,sparkling and close to everything in historic downtown Beaufort , and yet very private and quiet . It is decorated with wonderful antiques,has heart of pine floors, a comfortable 4 poster bed, lovely paintings by Ellen, and equipped with whatever you need. Perfect Location

We stayed five nights at this lovely place. It is cozy and perfectly located to downtown. Super clean and we had everything we needed provided for us. Plenty of space for me and my wife. Downtown is really at most a five minute walk and the walk is rather nice. Definitely would stay here again. Oh. And just saying the people of this city are the nicest people on the planet ! Seriously!

The Bonny House is Bonnie indeed!

We booked the Bonny House to get away, rest, and regroup The property is beautiful. The house was spotless. Decorated in beautiful antiques. The furniture was comfortable and the amenities were plentiful. Our hosts Ellen and Mike are lovely people. We enjoyed getting to know them. The location of the property was walking distance to most everything. We experienced First Friday in Beaufort. That was fun and unexpected. There is lots to do. We had many great meals at the local eateries. And hope to return sometime. You will not be disappointed.
