About this property
Deepwater Charm in Beaufort SC with Private Dock
This comfortable 3-bedroom home is situated on a quiet street in a family-oriented neighborhood on Little Lucy Creek in beautiful Beaufort by the Sea. You’ll unwind and relax on the private dock or in the Carolina room and enjoy extensive views of the water from almost every room. The home has been tastefully renovated to provide open, airy living/dining/kitchen areas with hardwood floors and an interesting collection of Low Country original Gullah folk art. The fully equipped kitchen has all newer appliances including ceramic cooktop, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator with ice maker. The pantry is stocked with basic ingredients including seasonings, spices, oils and vinegars. A small outside garden contains basic herbs and a gas grill is located on the side patio off the dining room. The primary bedroom has a queen size pillowtop bed, a full ensuite bathroom, a large walk-in closet and fabulous marsh views. There is a sliding door from the bedroom leading directly to the Carolina room. Waking up to the sunrise is the joy of sleeping in this bedroom. One of the guest bedrooms has a queen size pillowtop bed and the other has two extra-long twin beds. These two bedrooms share a second full guest bathroom. There is also an outdoor shower with hot and cold water. This shower is heavenly after a long day on the beach, especially accompanied with a cold beer. The Carolina room is fully enclosed, gets lovely breezes and has 180° views of the creeks and marsh. There is an osprey nest 50 yards from our dock where we’ve been watching a pair of ospreys and their babies for years. We have several sets of binoculars and bird books for your bird watching pleasure. You'll love reading, fishing, shrimping, crabbing, and having 'docktails on our great covered dock with ceiling fan to keep you cool and skeeter free on hot summer nights. You will see the dolphins swim, play, and fish in the creek... it's fun to watch! The home is 4 miles from major supermarkets and other stores and restaurants and we are just 5 miles from downtown Beaufort and minutes from Parris Island. The town of Beaufort is steeped in Civil War history and pre-Civil War architecture. Beautiful Antebellum mansions grace avenues along the Beaufort River. The Beaufort River is also home to the Beaufort Water Festival where 50,000+ boats congregate on the Beaufort sandbar for 2 weeks in July for some sun, fun & lots more. Enjoy the boat during the day & the Waterfront Park in downtown Beaufort at night. There will be everything from 'Motown Monday' concerts to Headliner music stars for weekend concerts. Soak up some sun or some history on a carriage ride through town and the Old Point. See several sites where movies have been filmed, shop along Bay Street, visit the numerous art galleries and antique shops, and dine in some of the many excellent local restaurants. Whatever your pleasure is, you can bring your boat and tie up at our private dock. You can tour Beaufort by the way of your boat or just explore the waters & islands connected without any car traffic...Just yield for the other boaters! There is so much to do in Beaufort, it's hard to pick just one activity! Just 20 minutes away is Hunting Island State Park with 3 miles of wide pristine beaches - voted 7th of the top 25 beaches in the U.S. by Travelers Choice. There are also walking and bike trails through the forest near the lagoon. Climb the lighthouse and look for dolphins, pelicans and bald eagles - they are there! You might also want to stop on the way home from the beach and buy some freshly caught fish or shrimp right where the shrimp boats come in! Lastly, there are several fine public golf courses and tennis courts within 15 minutes of the house if a little more activity is your thing!

My family and I have enjoyed this vacation house more than once and plan to return very soon. Comfortable home, wonderful dock for boating and fishing, great location that is quiet but also close to everything. Thank you.
Such a beautiful property. Large kitchen that is bright and airy. Primary bedroom overlooks creek and yard. Home has everything you could ever want or need. The house was very clean and communication with the owner was excellent. Can hardly wait until next year.
My wife and our 2 boys had a wonderful time the river house… perfect for fishing and loved the well-stocked open kitchen for cooking. House was stocked with all the necessities for a family of four.
The boys loved the backyard and we saw deer in the early morning. Sams Point Boat Landing is a short ride and we had room to park the trailer in the driveway.
Perfect location as it was easy to get to Beaufort and Sea Islands, and came with a Hunting Island pass. House is older but updated and clean. Very comfortable beds and linens.
Lost count of how many times we've stayed at this property. We love it so much, we finally convinced our daughter and son-in-law to come down with our granddaughter. She loved the Yia Yia sign so much. She thought I was the only one in the world haha
THEY LOVED IT! We went to Bay Street, Savannah, Hunting Island Beach, and ate at some amazing restaurants. The men went on a fishing charter and brought back dinner. We fished and crabbed from the dock and had a ton of action! A dolphin came and swam around right under the dock. Such an amazing week. Terri is super sweet and always stays in touch.
Highly highly recommend!
The location is perfect. In the middle of where we wanted to be and the privacy we wanted. There are neighbors but we never heard or saw them. The house is open so we had room to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking as far as pots pans etc. There were some fresh herbs growing that were able to be used. The views from this house were awesome. We got to watch all sorts of birds every night. There is a binder with all sorts of information about the surrounding areas. Charleston, Savannah and Hilton Head are all about an hour or so and very easy. We went to Edisto Beach several times. That drive is about 90 min but very easy. We liked to hunt shells and that one had lots. Hunting Island is about 20 min away and a great beach too. The beds are comfortable. The host was very repsonsive when I had questions. I would definitely stay here again.
Not sure where to start; this home is amazing and the owner is also amazing always available to assist with any issues if you should have any. The home is so well equipped, I don't believe you need anything that is not there; so comfortable. Just the view from the bluff, of Little Lucy Creek and the wetlands across the way are worth your stay. Egrets of all kinds are everywhere and if you look at high tide there is a good chance you will see a dolphin cruising by. Deep water for fishing I caught Spot Tails, Black Drum, Grunts, Whiting and of course Stingrays. Fill up the bird bath and the bird feeder and the birds, squirrels and deer will be by to visit. The deer usually get a drink of water from the bird bath at night.
If you want to party go somewhere else, this a very quiet respectable neighborhood. All the neighbors know each other; they are out walking in the mornings and are so friendly.
On Saturday morning 9 til 12 you need to visit the Farmers Market at Port Royal. Only local producers are there. I can't even start to list everything available, you will be amazed.
We enjoy the restaurant at the golf course that is just across 802 (Sam's Point Rd) from from the house. This is not just any golf course eatery they have a great chef and menu. Sit at the bar and visit with the locals. They make you feel welcome. Morgans Grill on Dataw Island is also a favorite of us.
We visit Beaufort every year for our anniversary; Thank You Terry!!
Wonderful place to relax and explore nature. Morning coffee sitting on patio watching the birds to kayaking next to dolphins that was what I enjoyed. Views and trees in yard were welcoming. Large yard to roam in was nice. Being indoors with open floor plan and view outdoors was enjoyable as well. Enjoyed fresh produce from island stands. Watermelon was sweet and tomatoes were delicious. From the Islands to Bay Street and being with family was a great time making memories.

Wonderful!!
Beautiful home in a beautiful location. Fishing was great from the dock and on the creek. A great place to relax and watch the tide. Terry was very helpful when we had questions. This house had everything we needed for our stay. We hope to stay again!
The home has gorgeous views of the water. It is a peaceful location for kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing or just watching the wildlife. The kitchen is open and very user friendly for making meals at home. Owner was quick to reply to questions and very helpful. Will definitely stay here again.
Spent the week fishing Lucy Creek and exploring Beaufort with the family. We're regulars to Beaufort and have settled that this is our favortie place we've stayed at and continue to come back. Easy access to town and the Sea Islands and of course boat docking and accesibility is a must. The house is perfect for us and the kitchen makes you WANT to cook at home, although we vistited many great restaurants. Beedo's, Johnson Creek Tavern, Low Country Produce, and of course Fish Camp on 11th Street are all some of our favorties restaurants. The backyard was great for the kids (6 & 10 boys) and the neighborhood was perfect for walking or riding a bike. Sam's Point Boat Launch is less than 5 mins away so it makes it easy access for getting the boat in and out. I was outfished by my 10 yr old who caught 7 Reds, a 16.5" Trout and a little Flounder so he got his first Low Country Slam. Grayco Hardware is a wonderful place to go for fishing stuff.
Right after the storm, but power was on and we had a wonderful time! Terry was great about communicating with us about everything.
It’s our 5 or 6 time at her house and won’t be our last!
Place was wonderful, location was great, pictures didn’t do the home justice, was a lot prettier than pictured. Only problem was the roaches. Needs an exterminator, otherwise fantastic.
Perfect location for boating, fishing, family, and relaxing. The house had everything we could possibly need and the location was perfect. Felt isolated but was within 15 minutes of groceries and attractions. Caught every possible fish, crab, etc we could hope for. The deer and ospreys were such a delight. Can’t wait to visit next year. Thank you so much. Couldn’t ask for a better stay. We stayed for two weeks and we were still sad to leave.
We enjoyed our stay at this property overall. The location was great, with beautiful views, and the unit itself was clean and well-stocked—including plenty of towels and beach chairs, which were a nice bonus. The parking garage was also a plus and made coming and going convenient. On the downside, the building itself could use some updating, and we experienced long wait times for the elevators—especially during the first few days when one was out of service. Additionally, we were informed just a few days before our arrival that the fitness center would be closed for the duration of our stay, with no compensation or alternative offered.Despite those issues, the unit was comfortable, and the amenities provided made for an enjoyable stay.
We had such a great time. The house was so clean and inviting. We ended up having a lot of rain. But the kids had a great time just hanging out at the house. We did puzzles and watched movies. Everything we could think of was available at the house. Terry thought of everything. Thank you so much for sharing your house with us
