The Neighborhood:
Larkhall is a friendly neighbourhood with a wide array of shops, theatre, cafes and restaurants. There is a lovely deli 'Goodies,' which we highly recommend for coffees, cakes and take away baguettes or for tasty breakfasts or lunch. Try Cloud 9 (they also do outside catering if you are planning an event / or special occasion). There is also a lovely French deli ideal for snacks (they also do outside catering). Crockadoodledoo can assist you with events, hen parties and children's entertainment. Highly recommended is a fantastic local vegan restaurant 'Nourish' in Larkhall, only 5 minutes walk from the house serving a wide array of wonderful dishes inspired from across the globe. This home is easily accessible from the motorway and benefits from a regular bus service into Bath which takes approximately 10 minutes.
From Larkhall, it is possible to access the Cotswold way a magical trail with over 100 miles of beautiful landscape to explore. Alternatively Solsbury hill, offers wonderful views, a National Trust site with a history dating back to 300BC.
Getting Around:
We recommend using the bus to get into Bath as parking in Bath is expensive. It is possible to catch the 6 or 7 bus to town, or walking onto London road for the more direct route into the centre of Bath. If you visit by train, the number 6 or 7 bus to Larkhall can be caught at the bus station. There is no private parking at the property, however there is plenty of spaces at in the 'shopper's carpark,' or in the road opposite.
Other Things to Note:
The boiler can only cope with several showers or baths, then allow it to heat up. If you notice that the water / heating goes off please reset the boiler pressing the button on the controls. This will 'fire up' the system.
