Rustic riverside 1-bedroom cottage in charming Basin; perfect for relaxing

Come experience simple Montana living in our cozy 240 sq ft primitive cottage, tucked along the beautiful Boulder River just outside Basin, MT. Located near I-15, the cottage is an ideal base for anglers, hunters, outdoor enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a peaceful gateaway surrounded by Montana scenery.
The cottage features a luxury queen bed and a comfortable couch, with bedding available for the couch. The couch does not fold out, and the cottage accomodates a maximum of 3 guests.
Step outside and enjoy approximately 1000 feet of private Boulder River shoreline. Chairs along the river provide the perfect place to sit back and listen to the water flowing by. A picnic table makes it easy to enjoy meals outdoors, and there's plenty of room to relax after a day of exploring. Cornhole, cards, and cribbage are available for laid-back entertainment. A fire pit with firewood provided can be used when burning restrictions are not in place.
This is intentionally a rustic, off-grid cottage-not a traditional hotel room. There is no running water or indoor bathroom. A porta-potty is provided 30 feet from the cottage, and a water hydrant is located just outside the cottage door. A Rinnai propane wall heater is installed for chilly nights and a fan available for warm nights.
For cooking, the cottage has a two-burner propane stove and basic kitchen supplies including: percolator coffee pot, ceramic coffee mugs, drinking glasses, silverware, paper plates and bowls, kitchen linens.
Bath towels are not provided. Showers are available at a cost of $12 per person at Boulder Hot Springs - a 20 minute drive.
The Silver Saddle Bar & Cafe in Basin is a short 5 minute drive away.
Parking is just outside the cottage door.
Wi-Fi is available when within approximately 30 feet of our home. The cottage itself is about 150 feet from our home, giving you a private setting while keeping assistance nearby if needed.
Our friendly Golden Retriever lives on the property. Because this is our home and family property, our grandchildren, ages 4-16, may be visiting at any time.
No pets are allowed for guests.

This cottage is best suited for guests who appreciate a rustic, simple, close-to-nature experience. You're in the heart of some wonderful Montana outdoor country. The Boulder River is just 40 yards from the cottage, with private shoreline access right on the property. Fishing is a major attraction, and the surrounding area is also known for good elk hunting. Four-wheeler trails can be found throughout the area for those looking to explore.
