Übernachtung in historischem Gemäuer

Wir haben wunderbar im Studio übernachtet und den historischen Ort genossen. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und erzählen gern über die Ferme, in der auch Mozarts Vater auf einer Konzertreise von Brüssel mach Paris einst übernachtete. Das Frühstück mit selbstgemachten Konfitüren und selbstgemachten Jogurt wird im historischen Speisesaal serviert. Jederzeit wieder!

Superb Gite de France

This is a wonderful Gite de France. We use it on a one night stopover and this is our second stay. Very good..lovely breakfast too.

We only stayed for one night on a stopover but wished we could have stayed longer. The history of the Farm and the family is absolutely amazing and it was wonderful that Carole took the time to talk to us and tell us about it. So much has been documented by Carole and it was a real pleasure viewing it, thank you Carole. The studio was warm and comfortable with a nice little kitchen and beautifully clean. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

Excellent fully equipped studio flat

We booked this as a result of trying to track down some history of a relative who was injured during the Great War battle of Mametz Wood. Bonavis Farm is close to the Somme where we visiting. We only booked one night on this occasion but would certainly return for more visits. On arrival we were given a tour and we were very impressed by the studio flat which was spotlessly clean and came fully equipped with a cooker, fridge and washing machine. We also have a dog which was made very welcome. Our host was very helpful and informative and gave us lots of information about the history of the buildings going back through several generations of her family who have owned it for many years. Particularly its history, occupation during the Great War, destruction and rebuilding were fascinating. She keeps a book full of information and photographs which proved very interesting. We catered for ourselves as there isn't a restaurant, although there are several restaurants close by if need be. The cooking facilities are very good. Breakfast was in the main house and was very extensive and good. In summary we spent an excellent night at Bonavis and intend to stay there longer on our next visit. Thoroughly recommended.

Excellent property and host

Carole was the perfect host - immediately welcome and informative when we arrived and with a clear passion for the local area and its history. Our studio was well-planned, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. Breakfast, with home made preserves using fruit from the garden, was very nice. The location of this property, about a mile off the autoroute makes it the perfect place for a quick stopover, but there is also so much to do and see in the area that it would make an ideal base for a longer stay.

A charming rest stop!

This is a wonderful Gite de France suitable to stay a night or a few days. Our bedroom and bathroom were both large and overlooked the courtyard. Breakfast was wonderful with good coffee and locally sourced jam and honey. Strongly recommend!
