Incomparable unobstructed Mountain View from living room and bedroom. Extremely comfortable furnishings and bedding. Loft area is extra bonus for a getaway in the getaway! Kitchen is fully equipped. Everything works. Deck has comfortable seating and is magnificent. The owners obviously love this place and seek the highest standards for those who stay here.

A great place to stay!

Great views. Lots of room, fully outfitted for dining/cooking (they thought of everything). Quick response by owner to questions. Would definitely rent again.

Great stay on Sugar

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay on sugar Mountain. The check-in process was easy, the home was very comfortable and the location was perfect! Would definitely recommend staying in this beautiful home.

Wake up and go to sleep with the beautiful mountain scenery that automatically relaxes you !

Peace and quiet where you can see for miles and miles.A beautiful getaway for family to reconnect. Everyone needs to experience. Highly recommend.Getting back to nature is very grounding. This A frame style condo is a treat.

Winter Break 2025

Probably the coldest day of the year! February snow and 3 degrees at the top of Sugar Mountain! The condo was warm, the owners thought of everything, and the view was heavenly!

President's day get away

Even though the weather did not cooperate fully with our ski plans for Sugar Mountain, we were overly impressed with your home in The Reserve. It was a memorable weekend for our family and 4 year old that went skiing, tubing, ice skating and alpine riding! We'll be back!

Amazing stay at Granddaughter

We went up for a family ski vacation. The host was very communicative and helped us out when we had questions. The unit was very welcoming and well stocked. Would recommend it to anyone!

Wonderful Property

We vacation in a lot of rental properties and this was the best stocked kitchen we have ever seen! It was lovely to have spices and enough dishes to really cook. Also the beds and linens were great. Nothing is better than the view. We loved it and hope to stay longer next time!

Beautiful as usual

This is a great place to relax and to have a great view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Very clean, well maintained property with all the necessities. Great communication with the property owners. Highly recommended.

Amazing view, thoughtful host

I reserved this place for the view. Came for a family snow tubing adventure. Mother Nature delivered a spectacular winter wonderland for us just in time. Annie was very helpful in relaying key information- a 4WD vehicle was a must to get to the top of the mountain in the heavy snow. The condo was super cozy with the gas fireplace, plenty of spices in the kitchen, and again that gorgeous view. My son left a small toy and they even notified me and shipped it to me. Great hosts and lovely location! We will be back!

Nothing short of amazing

My family and I vacation a lot. We value the time we have with one another and I share that to say, Annie is one of the most hospitable VRBO hosts we’ve ever encountered. She, alone, makes me want to return. As if that wasn’t enough, the pictures do not do her rental justice! It’s inviting, cozy, and convenient. We felt secluded, yet, were so close to everything. It’s the perfect size. It’s spacious, yet we weren’t all spread out. It was stocked with more than we could imagine. If we return to Sugar Mountain, we wouldn’t be able to stay anywhere else! The views were the cherry on top. We usually are all ready to come home the last day or vacation, but none of us wanted to leave. An 11/10 recommendation would be underrating this beautiful place.

Spring break ski getaway

Our first family ski trip was great thanks to our host Annie. My three son’s and I had a blast exploring the snow and ice surroundings of the property. The views were breathtaking every morning from our balcony. Sugar ski mountain was a five minute car ride from the property. We ventured out to the Alpine Mountain Coaster (make reservations prior to arrival). If you’re into steak try Stonewalls in Banner Elk just a short 15 minute scenic drive. The Peddlin Pig didn’t disappoint if you are into bar-b-que, the roasted Turkey tray was fantastic. We brought home some amazing looking rocks with gorgeous colors from the little mining spot across from the Sugar Mountain Ski slope. The condo had everything you could need for a home away from home could possibly have. Just bring your own personal snacks or food to cook. The spices, pots & pans, etc are all there. Annie, the host, made our stay so comfortable and memorable with her warm hospitality. We will definitely be back again to make more family memories. Thank you so much for everything ❤️

Perfect in every way

This is our second time staying at Granddaughter Mountain. This unit is clean, the furnishings are very comfortable, the supplies for our use are plentiful, and the views are breathtaking. The Reserve at Sugar Mountain is centrally located to Banner Elk, Boone and Blowing Rock with so many activities to do. Thank you for opening up your unit for rental. We will be back again!

Love it every time.

Beautiful place in Banner Elk,NC. Check is easy, communication is very good. Clean and well stocked. Great place to relax for a few days, this unit has some of the best views in the the Reserve.
