Beautiful place with okay service
Positive: -Beautiful location in the forest and right on the lagoon, wonderful nature experience -Amazing design that fits perfectly to the place -Food is excellent -Restaurant staff very friendly and professional, same as the chief bar tender from Veracruz -Nice activities like yoga included in the package Negative: -Food and drinks are very pricey (like a tiny glass of Coconut water for 11 USD and a single espresso for 6 USD) -No kettle/coffee machine in the room -Not enough sun beds and umbrellas for the number of guests (many people got up at 6am to reserve one of the few sun beds) -Permanent music in the beach area (good one, but some breaks to listen to the nature sounds would be nice) - Specifically some members of the reception were limit unfriendly. Unusual given the luxury range and price of the place. - The service of the team varied a lot among the entire staff. When we asked about the lack of sun beds and umbrellas there was not enough solution or compensation offered. And there is no other beach close by.

Beautiful Hotel
Beautiful hotel in a natural, intimate setting right on the water. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We loved the outdoor shower. The service was also excellent. The food was delicious but portions were a bit small and the restaurant is quite expensive. Great quality ingredients though. Loved the coffee! Only thing that was a bit of a bummer was that we couldn't connect to the wifi in the room. The signal was too weak. Our room was too far from the router. Next time we'll request a room with better wifi. Overall a beautiful hotel. Hopefully we can return soon!

La peor experiencia en un hotel. No respetaron la reservación YA PAGADA que tenía con ellos y nos arruinaron el fin de semana. No quieren tampoco hacerse cargo del reembolso y entre Expedia y ellos se echan la bolita.

Entiendo su frustración y me gustaría brindar alguna aclaración con respecto a su reserva.En OurHabitas, mantenemos una política como hotel exclusivo para adultos, que cuidadosamente comunicamos a nuestros huéspedes a través de diversos canales. Sin embargo, a su llegada, quedó evidente que su reserva incluía a dos menores, lo cual lamentablemente contravenía nuestra política de solo adultos.Lamentamos profundamente cualquier confusión o malentendido que haya podido surgir, y estamos trabajando activamente para mejorar nuestros procesos de comunicación y prevenir situaciones similares en el futuro. Entendemos que esta experiencia estuvo lejos de ser ideal, y por ello, nos disculpamos.En cuanto al pago que realizó, quiero aclarar que, a pesar de que su reserva era no reembolsable, procesamos un reembolso completo como un gesto de buena voluntad. Valoramos sinceramente sus comentarios, y es fundamental para nosotros que nuestros huéspedes tengan una experiencia positiva, incluso en casos en que las circunstancias requieran una cancelación.Apreciamos su comprensión y esperamos que considere brindarnos otra oportunidad para hospedarlo en el futuro. Absolutely amazing!
A really great stay - the location, the rooms, the food, everything was perfect, why we spent the majority of our time in Bacalar at the hotel. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Because of a double booking, the hotel had to change our dates a month before arrival, but we were offered complimentary massages and a bottle of sparkling wine for the inconvenience. I would recommend everyone to go here - we could have easily stayed more than the 3 nights we had booked!

La struttura è bellissima, si trova nella parte finale della laguna un po’ isolata ma in una posizione buona. Consigliamo di starci due giorni per potersi godere i servizi e un po’ di riposo nella struttura. La Colazione è buona e può essere fatta anche a bordo laguna (purtroppo a noi non lo ha detto nessuno). La Camera jungle è spaziosa e molto curata nei dettagli con una doccia all’aperto. Consigliamo Di chiedere una camera appartata (noi avevamo l’ultima, mi sembra la 32, che consigliamo), alcune hanno poca privacy ad esempio perché davanti al ristorante. Il ristorante buono ma troppo buio la sera. Ottimi le tavole per Sup e le Canoe per fare un giro nella laguna. Le attività come sup all’alba e il Giro in barca sono molto cari ma d’altronde si tratta di una struttura di lusso.

No reserven aqui!
Yo reserve para hacer una ceremonia de cacao, un dia anterior me habian confirmado el espacio y el dia que reserve ya después de reservar y pagar me quieren mover mi evento para un dia despues, siendo que ya estaban todos mis invitados ahi y ya habia pagado. Se les nego la entrada a los invitados a comer al restaurant, tuve que reservar otro lugar para hacer mi evento y por cancelar todavia me corbaron el 50% del evento aunque no hicieron nada. El responsable del welleness Center un grosero, nos viene a interrumpir el desayuno para cobrarnos un evento que no hicimos porque ellos nos cambiaron la fecha aun despues de ese mismo dia decirnos que si, que solo teniamos que reservar. Aparte de grosero, conteston nos llama mentirosos y nos dice que nosotros llegamos tarde cuando estuvimos ahi 2 horas antes de lo que nos pidieron. Fuera de eso el cuarto no le funcionaba bien el Aire acondicionado siendo un cuarto de 600 dlls la noche. No regresaria

Almost perfect
This place is magical, genuinely. It is so beautiful - not only the lagoon, but the details in the cabins and everywhere else across the site makes it lovely. In the evening you can see a trail of individually lit candles all along the hotel, which makes a beautiful walk. There are no words to describe the lagoon, which is the most beautiful water you'll ever see, no matter what time of day you look, it is always different. There are kayaks and paddle boards included (although beware you're not allowed to use them on Wednesday as it's a rest day for the lagoon). There is a lovely bar by the lagoon where you can get all kinds of drinks and snacks, plus there is a restaurant on site, although the variety of food in the dinner menu is significantly smaller than for breakfast, so it can get old quite quickly. The rooms are really nice and surprisingly not noisy at all! There are two aspects of the service that can be considered: the restaurant/bar: everyone is suuuuper friendly and lovely to deal with, however, it can be quite slow - especially in the restaurant part, the speed is lacking. Most times we had dinner there, it took a significant amount of time for them to take our order / bring the food, etc. (Even though it was not busy). Reception: there is no phone coverage in the area, so you have to communicate with the hotel through WhatsApp. I've gotta say on that front it is excellent. They would reply to any query within minutes, and there was never more than a 5 minute
