This property is really cute! It is furnished pretty much entirely with Ikea products, which makes it look modern and adorable. It is fresh and clean. It appears to have been pretty recently renovated. It is small, but that's what we were expecting and were fine with that. It has two bedrooms, one of which is pretty large and has a king sized bed. The other has a queen bed. I'd say the beds are probably pretty comfortable for most people, but I can't say for sure because I have fibromyalgia and have to sleep on an airbed or have a lot of pain. So I only slept on the bed the first night. It certainly wasn't as hard as hotel beds usually are!
The kitchen is tiny but efficient. Same for the bathroom. There's a little yard for unit B, the unit we stayed in. Outside the slider at the dining area is a little patio with chairs and a table, and a gas grill (which we didn't use).
My daughter and grandson and I stayed in the unit. We had my dad and stepmom, and my brother and his wife come for visits (they did not stay with us), and there was plenty of room and enough chairs for everyone to be comfortable.
There's a laundry unit in the carport and space to park two cars if you park tandem with one in the driveway and one in front of it in the carport.
We ran into a brief plumbing issue (not caused by any problem with the unit) and were able to find the plunger and so were able to deal with the issue. There are cleaning supplies in plenty and lots of towels. Probably another couple of blankets would have been good, but for the two beds there were at least two blankets each.
I loved the modern decor and the clean, calm feeling of the unit. It felt more like being home somehow, though it is very different from my own aging home. The neighborhood is quiet, without a lot of traffic, just like I like it. However, it is within a block or so of Burnet, a main drag full of shopping, restaurants, coffee shops and AMY'S ICE CREAM!!! Yum!
There were tons of things to do, and most of them within a reasonable drive from the unit. We actually spent a lot of our time (a week) IN the unit itself and very happily so. We did some cooking as we actually only ate out once during the week, so having a big fridge, dishwasher and cooking facilities was perfect.
We had lots of fun with all the kid things to do in Austin! We are very happy with our stay! Would recommend this to families, couples, and retired persons!
