The staff are so accommodating and friendly. While the place is an old style home it has so much character. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom clean. We would stay here again」

「Staff was very helpful with info about the area and was flexible when we needed early breakfast and coffee. Only negative is that your outside shoes had to be removed when you entered the house — inconvenient— but overall an excellent place. Highly recommend.」

「Very unique owners, both from Scotland, I believe, and they were the only staff that we interacted with. They were entertaining, gave great advice regarding places to find good food, and in particular, good seafood, and they keep a very nice hotel in downtown Pictou, just a couple of blocks from the harbor. It is an old building, so there is no elevator. Nonetheless, it is so well decorated that you don’t mind climbing steps to your room. Very nice furnishings, very clean room, quite comfortable...
