Great Location, Scantily Appointed
Pros: Excellent air conditioning, one easy block from the beach, nice landlord, quiet (while we were there). Bottled water in the fridge. Bath towels provided. Fairly spacious main room.
Cons: Furniture in each bedroom consists only of two beds, wedged in. Furniture in main room is an upholstered chair, a love seat, and an end table with a lamp. There is also a folding table an three folding chairs. In the kitchen is another folding table and one more chair. All serving plates, dishes, cup, and cutlery are plastic, with no spoons. Limited cooking pots/pans and no drawer space to put any. No supplies other than toilet paper, tissues, and a half a roll of paper towels. Multiple bulbs burnt out. No wall decorations.
Think of the property as more of a second-story cabin with a fridge, stove, shower, toilet and AC. Figure on bringing or buying anything that you want to use here. I hope that the owner will visit some thrift stores or auctions to provide better appointments (furniture, plates, etc.) to the property. If he does, this could be a very nice stay for the price. I'd suggest checking the inside pictures to see if it looks like this has been done. It was the lack of any of these things that made me give the property a poor rating.
