This was a disappointment - felt like a low end motel. The a/c was not effective in dehumidifying, the room had a strange smell, and he floor was slippery (maybe cleaned but not rinsed?). Annoying that upon arrival at 12:15 was charged $30 to check in early (before 1pm). While I understand you need a "rule" front desk staff should be able to override. Did not feel safe with room opening to parking lot. Room was incredibly dark and no outside space to hang - several guests pulled chairs from pavilion to sit in parking lot. Very disappointing stay.

They charged me $12.00 for parking. This $12.00 fee was not listed on Expedia and I was informed at check-in that was $12.00 to park my car in their unsecured parking lot. Beware!

Convenient location however rooms are pretty old. Unfortunately our room was very musty smelling. The lighting in the bathroom was bad. However the AC worked great and the shower was hot. Only was there to sleep thankfully. The smell was almost unbearable.

This is a motel, not a hotel. Hallway smelled like garbage. Room was damp, moldy smelling, old, dark, depressing. Shower was no longer white. White doors were filthy. Pictures do not represent what I experienced. They offered to change my room after first night, but i did not have time to go through that.

A little over priced for what it’s giving, you’re definitely paying for the location above all. The bathroom tile definitely needed a good scrub down. Overall, the room wasn’t as nice as the pictures portrayed it. Staff and service were fine.

Not enough parking, dust, mold in bathroom hanging from vent, refrigerator was hot, ice makers were not working had to go all the way to reception after walking all over property, shower had mildew, wallpaper peeling off the walls. Just seems very run down from our visit 2 yrs ago.

The Graduate Athens is convenient to downtown Athens and the North Campus of UGA. It is less convenient to the South Campus. The hotel is a modern hotel in repurposed buildings.

Recently stayed at Graduate Nashville and I guess the bar was set too high. Room door opens directly outside so felt more like a motel. No elevator so had to haul luggage up stairs but it was only one flight. Good location in walking distance, but had I known what I know now, I probably would’ve selected the Hyatt or somewhere else.

Our stay was pleasant. Any concerns we had were immediately addressed by the friendly staff. The room was safe and conveniently located close to restaurants and pubs. Would have liked better movie and regular TV channels that didn't pause to stream every few minutes. But overall our stay was very nice.

I have stayed at a few Graduates and this location was not up to par in my opinion. It is different in that the lay out is more motel than hotel but, I though it could have been cleaner especially in the bathroom. Stay was great just disappointed compared to my previous stays at Graduate Hotels.

The rooms are adorably decorated but elements are a tiny bit dated. Would love if there were better coffee/tea amenities for the guests and the grounds could be better tended.
