"While it is not walkable to town, it is a beautiful, quiet, secluded oasis with a lovely garden, spectacular birds and an incredibly warm and helpful staff who helped us order dinner to be delivered and made us one of the best breakfasts we have ever had. We were sad to leave and will definitely return! "

"Fantastic stay as always at one of Costa Rica’s most iconic resorts! If you need to stay close to San José or are looking for a truly special place to host an event, it really doesn’t get much better than the Marriott Hacienda Belén. The resort blends classic hacienda architecture with modern luxury, giving you the feeling of stepping back into old Costa Rica—without sacrificing a single comfort. From the hand-painted ceramics and tranquil courtyards to the grand neoclassical pools and sprawling tropical gardens, every detail is beautifully executed. The food is consistently five-star, and I always look forward to dining here. A special shout-out to Saray at reception, who worked her magic to get me into my room early before a big event and later helped me extend my stay—because one night just wasn’t enough! The staff here are friendly, professional, and always go above and beyond. Pura Vida, Marriott Hacienda Belén never disappoints "
